A PACT BETWEEN FRIENDS

Whitley also revealed that before Levert died, he made a song dedicated to her titled "Addicted to You.' Apart from that, she and the former "LeVert" band member made a pact. She said:

"We said when we turn 50 years old…if we're not married at 50, we will marry each other."

Levert also shared his plans to Whitley that if they hosted the BET Awards together, they would announce that they were engaged. Unfortunately, all of their plans didn't prosper.

STILL FRIENDS AFTER REJECTION

Whitley added that Levert told her he needed to have a wife. But the actress didn't like what he thought as she didn't understand the concept of marriage because she was still young.

The acclaimed actress recalled that Levert felt hurt when she rejected his idea. Whitley remained friends with the late singer and even supported him with all his relationships.

After Whitley's rejection, Levert ended up having three different children from three other women. He regretted his actions involving women, according to Whitley.

Several years after his death, Whitley noted that Levert was the one who got away. Regardless of what had happened between them, the actress treasured only positive memories about the singer.
