A few hours ago, the NBC network teased fans of the "Law & Order: SVU" promo that showed a clip to update them on what to expect from the series set to air in April.
The video clip featured throwback scenes of Stabler and Benson working together and later provided a glimpse into the current state of things between the duo. An accompanying caption read:
"Bensler forever. An #SVU and #organizedCrime crossover event, April 1 on @NBC."
It gathered thousands of likes and many Instagram users took to the comment section to announce their excitement over the reunion.
Lovers of the show were hooked on the pair for twelve years, as their unity in solving cases offered a thrilling watch.
Hargitay revealed that fans found it difficult to adapt to Meloni's absence, and when a reunion was created, it made her feel good.
In 2011, Meloni bailed out of the show. Rumor had it that it was due to contract negotiation. This move was shocking to fans and the actor's co-star. Hargitay informed the press of how surprised she was over his exit.
She confirmed that they shared a connection on set and both experienced growth simultaneously. However, the pair continued to act in other TV shows.
The actress retained her Benson role while her friend featured in shows like "True Blood," and "The Handmaid's Tale."
The two maintained their friendship in reality. But adjusting to the crime series without their combination was a bit tasking for their fans.
Hargitay revealed that fans found it difficult to adapt to Meloni's absence, and when a reunion was created, it made her feel good to connect on such a level with her audience.
Now that they are working together, fans have noticed the chemistry and sweet friendship as the two often share fantastic images on Instagram. Such great energy between long-time pals!
