He might be gone, but actor Chadwick Boseman is definitely not forgotten. Ahead of the 2021 Golden Globes, his former co-star, Christopher Meloni, remembered him fondly.

Over the weekend on Sunday, Christopher Meloni, 59, was interviewed virtually by “E!.” The actor got to speak openly about his former “42” co-star and late actor Chadwick Boseman.

Sadly, the late star passed away at age 43 in August 2020, but in 2013 he starred alongside Meloni in “42.” Boseman won his first posthumously Golden Globe award for his work in “Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.”

The “Organized Crime” star recalled how he hadn’t known who the “Black Panther” actor was when he first met him. He shared how they’d met during batting practice for the movie.

Meloni shared that the late star wasn’t only gifted as an actor, but he had been “pretty good” as an athlete. Boseman got himself the lead role in the biopic even though he had been an upcoming star at the time.

The former “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” actor revealed that he went up to the late star and congratulated him for bagging the lead role. He was thrilled for Boseman but didn’t know why.

However, when they started filming, it became clear why Meloni had been so happy for Boseman being chosen as the lead. The long-term actor realized the future star was the real thing.
