In an interview with People Magazine discussing her pregnancy, the 31-year-old disclosed that she is in her second trimester and considers each day of the journey as a miracle as having a child is something she has wanted for so long.

In the past, King had suffered two devastating miscarriages due to polycystic ovary syndrome that results in a hormone imbalance. Recounting her experience, the songwriter noted that it was lonely and filled with shame.

She recalled the anxiety that comes with hiding the news of her pregnancy before the 12-week mark because she’d hate to raise their hopes unfairly. However, amid the rollercoaster of emotions, she enjoyed a support system in her loved ones.

The “Wild Cherry” star shared that she and Tooker found out about their pregnancy on Christmas Day last year and would wait until the birth to discover the gender of their first child.
