Prince Harry Says He Saw His Mom Princess Diana's Story Being Repeated with Wife Meghan Markle

Prince Harry recently shared that his wife, Meghan Markle, has been in a situation that's familiar to him. The former Briitish royal told Oprah Winfrey that he's worried for her.

In a groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry noted that his wife, Meghan Markle, has been in a similar situation as his late mother, Princess Diana.

Harry and Meghan, who tied the knot in 2018, previously made the headlines after the couple stepped back from their royal responsibilities last year.

A SIMILAR TENSION

Harry told the renowned television host that the 39-year-old "Suits" star has a similar story as her late mother. However, Meghan and Diana had different reasons.

While Diana got criticized for her divorce from Prince Charles several years ago, Meghan has faced criticisms for her racial background, which escalated in social media. Harry said in the interview:

"I saw history repeating itself."

NO SUPPORT FROM THE FAMILY

With that pattern, Harry had sought help and support from his family, but they seemed indifferent about it. His father, Prince Charles, had not answered his calls, too.

Leaving the Royal Family was the only option they had. Harry said he and Markle had in-depth discussions about their plan to break away from tabloids and his family's intense pressure.

In contrast to rumors that he had caught Queen Elizabeth off-guard, Harry denied the claim. He said he never blindsided his grandmother as he has "too much respect" for her.

It was not only Harry who saw the Royal Family's tension. His late mother's former chief of staff and private secretary Patrick Jephson noted a similar pattern.

Apart from Harry's notes on Meghan and Diana's similar patterns, some found the actress to be a bully.

PRINCE CHARLES SHOULD HELP

Jephson thought that Prince Charles should be involved in the situation. He had been in the same place before and he could help address better solutions for it.

Diana divorced Prince Charles in 1996 due to extra-marital affairs and distanced herself from the Royal Family. The following year, she died in a car crash in Paris, France.

Apart from Harry's notes on Meghan and Diana's similar patterns, some found the actress to be a bully. One of the former staff in Buckingham Palace claimed that she displayed "unacceptable behavior."

The complaint claimed that the actress allegedly bullied two personal assistants while she was in the palace. However, the lawyers representing Meghan had earlier denied the accusations.
