Kelly Ripa Shares Side-by-Side Photo with Mom's 1980 Throwback and Fans Say They Look like Twins

“All My Children” star Kelly Ripa shocked her fans and followers on Instagram when she posted photos of herself and her mother side by side, looking like twin sisters.

50-year-old actress and talk show host Kelly Ripa recently proved that she is the living image of her mother Esther Ripa, with the “Live with Kelly and Ryan” star sharing side-by-side photos of each at a similar age.

“Mom 1980. Me 2005,” Kelly captioned the composited image, which undeniably demonstrates that the actress bears an uncanny resemblance to her mother, with the two appearing in similar angles and with similar hairdos.

The post was well-received among Kelly’s many fans and followers, with more than 175,000 people hitting the like button and several users taking to the comments section of the post to point out the resemblance of the two women.

“Whoa! Identical! And gorge!!” wrote a user. “I thought it was Kelly,” added another person. “Whoa. Two beauties,” complimented them a fan. Last but not least, at least two people suggested that Kelly and her mother could be twins.

KELLY IS VERY CLOSE TO HER PARENTS

Kelly is known to be all about her family life, even though she is a busy celebrity, and while we see a lot of her husband Mark Consuelos and their children Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, her parents are not featured as regularly in her social media.

But this doesn’t mean in any way that Kelly is not close to her mother Esther and her father Joseph, who live together in Voorhes Township, not far from Kelly’s home in New York City.

Back in April 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was only a couple of months old, Kelly opened up about how much she missed being able to hug not only her parents but also Mark’s parents, sharing a picture of the four with a sweet caption.

More recently, in February 2021, Kelly had the chance to spend Saturday with her mother and her father in their home, and while her mother managed to avoid being captured in a photograph, Kelly happily posed with her father.

ESTHER’S 79TH BIRTHDAY

Kelly’s mother Esther arrived at her 79th birthday in June 2020, and Kelly didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate her, expressing her love for her one more time and acknowledging her wisdom.

Kelly accompanied her loving caption honoring her mother with a throwback image that showed Esther elegantly dressed in a party with her parents (Kelly’s grandparents).

Even though she couldn’t be with Esther to celebrate 2020’s Mother’s Day last May due to safety measures, Kelly made sure to dedicate a sweet Instagram post to pay tribute to her mother with a throwback photo.

Kelly didn’t forget about her beloved mother-in-law Camilla Consuelos on that special day, also adding a throwback that showed Camilla holding a baby Mark Consuelos in the slideshow and mentioning her in the caption.
