Eva Mendes Pens Touching Comment about Vanessa Bryant's Late Daughter Gianna
Her daughter might be gone, but Vanessa Bryant definitely hasn’t forgotten her. In a recent post, she shared a throwback photo of Gianna and elicited a positive response from actress Eva Mendes.
On Tuesday, Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, 38, took to her Instagram account to remember her late daughter Gianna Bryant. Last January, the 13-year-old and her father died in a plane crash.
In her post, which Commentsbycelebs shared, Vanessa uploaded a black-and-white throwback photo of Gianna. She captioned the image with three words, “My beauty,” “Gianna,” and “Mambacita.”

In response to the touching post, actress Eva Mendes, 46, penned, in the comments section, a memory that she had with Gianna and her family. Mendes confessed to Vanessa:
“I will never forget meeting her.”
She revealed that within minutes of meeting the teenager, she’d fallen in love with her and the Bryant family as a whole. The actress confessed it was a beautiful memory that she would cherish forever.
She concluded her message by sending her love to the mourning widow. Eight months after Vanessa lost her husband and daughter, Mendes showed the widow support once again with a heartfelt message.
The actress commented on Kobe’s wife’s post, noting how she’d always thought Vanessa was one of the most beautiful women. Gianna’s mother had posted a photo of herself and daughter Natalia, 17, at the time.
The star admitted that when she finally met Kobe’s wife, her thoughts were confirmed. The actress shared how everything about Vanessa shone bright, and when she met her daughters, it made sense.
Mendes understood that the children had gotten their personalities from their parents. Showing her support, she told the widow that she was thinking about her and her children.
She also confessed that she cherished meeting them, shared her love, and promised to be there for them if needed. Mendes signed the note from herself, her husband Ryan Gosling, and their daughters.
Ever since her former National Basketball Association (NBA) player husband died, Vanessa has been fighting various court cases. This week, she won a case against the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department (LASD).

The widow got to have the names of the “LASD” deputies who reportedly took and shared photos from her husband’s helicopter crash. A judge made the ruling on Monday.
Weeks after her husband and daughter’s deaths, Kobe’s wife shared a family photo of her posing with her daughters. Natalia, Bianka, and Capri stood in front of a mural dedicated to their late father and sister.
Besides showing her support to Vanessa, Mendes has also posted her own images on Instagram. Last October, she shared a throwback photo of herself with a caption that noted her homebody tendencies amid the pandemic.
