Born Lisa Marie Presley on February 1, 1968, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was under the public eye since birth. She was under media scrutiny until she got married, divorced, and experienced losing her son, Benjamin Keough, to suicide.

Following his death, Presley sought comfort from her first husband and the father of Benjamin, Danny Keough. Here's' a glimpse of their love story and recent reconciliation.

PRESLEY AND KEOUGH'S' MARRIAGE

Lisa and Danny met at the Church of Scientology's Celebrity Center in 1984 when he was working as a bass player. While she was already famed as the King of Pop's daughter, he had gigs around Los Angeles and worked as a house musician at Mad Hatter Studios.

It didn't' take long for the couple to fall in love with their shared belief bringing them together. In 1988, Keough, then 23, married Presley, 20, in an intimate wedding ceremony that People described as "the quietest royal wedding of the century."

Only nine people, including family and close friends, were inside the Celebrity Center International of the Church of Scientology when the nuptials took place. Lisa looked stunning in a knee-length pale rose silk dress, while the groom was dressed in a dark suit.

As Lisa was the sole heir to her father's multi-million dollar estate, some may have wondered if money was one of Danny's motives in choosing to love Presley. However, an insider strongly disagreed. The source said:

“All [Danny’s] needs are met by the church. Besides, he’s not the type of person to take his marriage vows as anything less than solemn. He is rock solid.”

True enough, Danny enjoyed a simple lifestyle. After having two children, Riley and Benjamin, and going through a divorce, he lived simply. As Riley recalls, she grew up privileged with her mom but not with her dad. "My father had mattresses on the floor of his apartments. He lived in cabins and trailer parks," she said.

LIFE AFTER DANNY

Despite their separation, Lisa always held Danny in high regard. In a previous interview, she called him her "absolute best friend" and added, "The smartest thing I've' ever done is have children with this man because I knew this is the one man I could be connected to for the rest of my life."

Three years later, following Benjamin’s death, Lockwood filed papers in their custody case claiming his ex-wife would relapse due to her son’s suicide.

Just 20 days after their divorce was finalized, Lisa surprised everyone by marrying Michael Jackson. When their marriage did not work out, she had a two-year marriage with Nicholas Cage before walking down the aisle with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood, in 2006.

A TRAGIC EVENT

In 2020, however, an unfortunate event brought Lisa and Danny back together. Their son, Benjamin, tragically passed away after taking his own life. Benjamin was 27 years old when he died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds in their Calabasas home. A source said:

“Lisa is still completely shattered. Ben was her whole world, and she’s struggling to see sense in what has happened. It’s going to be a long time before she feels any better.”

Sharing the same pain of losing a son brought Danny back to Lisa's side to be a source of comfort. They lived together in Calabasas while they grieve their son's loss. Although Benjamin's death brought them back under the same roof, an insider claimed they were not romantically involved.

LISA'S' FOURTH DIVORCE

Lisa and Danny lived with her then 12-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley, whom she shared with Lockwood. Sources revealed that the duo was engrossed in a legal battle after the court granted equal custody of their twin girls.

During their separation, Lockwood's lawyer said that his client "has no desire to stay married to this woman. He wants to get on with his life. He's' engaged to be married."

In February 2017, reports claimed that the twins had disturbing photos on Lockwood's computer. However, his lawyers denied such claims. Lisa said she wanted her children to be under her care until things were sorted out with such news.

Three years later, following Benjamin's death, Lockwood filed papers in their custody case claiming his ex-wife would relapse due to her son's suicide. He said that it would be best for him to be in full custody of his twins at that time.

RILEY'S' CAREER

While Lisa was busy raising her little ones, her older daughter, Riley, was busy making a name for herself in the entertainment industry as an actress. She has since starred in films such as "The Girlfriend Experience," Logan Lucky," Mad Max: Fury Road," and "The Lodge."

Over the years, Lisa's lookalike daughter became more famous with her gorgeous appearance and unique fashion choices. On Instagram, Riley is quite the fashion trendsetter and often stuns people at how much she looks like her mother.

Her beautiful genes allowed Riley to begin a modeling career at 14, making her debut for Dolce and Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week the following year. She later made her way on-screen and is keeping her family's legacy alive by taking over the entertainment industry.
