4 People Wounded and 1 Person in Critical Condition after Shooting at a Suburban Portland Motel
Four people have been wounded, with one person in critical condition after a shooting at a Portland motel.
The Gresham police department is currently investigating the circumstances around a shooting that occurred at a suburban Portland motel on March 18, 2021.
Police were called to the scene at 3 am on Thursday. Four people had been wounded by gunshot. One of the victims is in critical condition, and two others underwent surgery.
The Golden Knight Motel is located in the 700 block of East Powell Boulevard. Victims were shot both inside and outside the motel room, so it was a complex situation.
Adam Baker, an officer from the Gresham police department, made a statement about the situation, which was shared on Twitter. Baker said:
“Part of it happened in a hotel room, part of it happened outside of the hotel room, in the parking lot, one person walked down the street, it created a very complex scene.”

Baker added that officers spoke to everyone that was at the motel. The police are hoping that someone will come forward with more information.
Currently there no one is in custody for the shootings, and the police department does not have a description of a possible suspect. Koin 6 reported insight from a witness.

A man named Mitchell, who was staying at the motel, told the news outlet that at 2:45 pm, the woman he was with heard five or six gunshots coming the front.
A Koin 6 news reporter, Liza Burch, shared videos of Baker addressing the media and public. Burch shared that police were not sure how many guns were used and that violence in the area had increased. She wrote on Twitter:

The 4 victims who were all treated at a hospital were both male and female. The police are hoping to speak to the victims when they are well enough.

Police responded to a call at 12:15 a.m. about a possible shooting on Northeast 29th and Lombard street in the Concordia area. On scene, they found one person had been shot.
The victim did not sustain a life-threatening injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment. No one has been taken into custody, and there is no suspect description.
