Now-former "Good Morning Britain" presenter Piers Morgan continues to speak out against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent revelations about their experience in the royal family. The broadcaster recently wrote on Twitter:

"There's a very deliberate & malicious campaign being perpetrated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex...Time to stand up for our Queen."

In his outcry to the people of the UK, Morgan said that Markle and Harry were on a mission to smear, defame, and trash the nation, the monarchy, and the royal family in its entirety.

He termed the purported campaign by the Duke and Duchess as disgusting before calling those who support him to action. A photo of Queen Elizabeth II accompanied his tweet.

The Queen was dressed up in her royal regalia and crown, with a book in her hands as she sat on her throne. Morgan's brow-raising tweet came weeks after Markle and Harry's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Oprah Winfrey interview is not the first thing that would have Morgan talking about Markle in such a rapid-fire manner.

This is also coming weeks after he exited "Good Morning Britain" over the same issue. Meghan and Harry are not the only ones who have been included in Morgan's campaign to defend the Queen and the monarchy.

Morgan recently had some words for TV host Gayle King after she spoke about the interview on her show "CBS This Morning." Responding to King's assertions on the show, he once again took to Twitter and wrote:

"Rather than acting as your Sussex friends' PR mouthpiece, how about doing your job as a journalist and ask them about all the lies?"

The tweet continued, urging King to do as he asked so that Americans would hear the truth of the state of affairs between the Sussexes and the royal family.

The Oprah Winfrey interview is not the first thing that would have Morgan talking about Markle in such a rapid-fire manner in the past few years. The two reportedly had a sort of relationship or friendship before her entrance into the royal family.

They started on good terms, following each other on social media. Morgan was known for coming to Markle's defense when the media was tearing her reputation apart in the days when she was first linked to Prince Harry.

This ended in 2018 when Morgan revealed that Markle ghosted him after he thought they had become good friends. Since then, hopes of a friendship have long since died, and Morgan and Markle are now at the opposite ends of a highly publicized controversy.
