Marie Osmond Reveals Baby News as Eldest Son Stephen Is Expecting 4th Child with Wife Claire

Marie Osmond announced that her eldest son, Stephen, expects his fourth child and first daughter with his wife, Claire. The proud grandmother celebrated great news on social media.

Marie Osmond’s family is about to get bigger, and the proud matriarch is more than excited. In today's early hours, the renowned entertainer took to Instagram to share the great news of expecting another grandchild.

She shared a series of photos from her daughter-in-law Claire’s maternity shoot. Claire, who is married to Osmond’s eldest son Stephen, posed with her three sons in a field as they cradled her burgeoning baby bump.

The expecting mother wore a gorgeous white maternity dress while the boys, Stephen, Christian, and Maxwell, played around in excitement at the arrival of a younger sibling. Osmond wrote in the accompanying caption:

“My darling daughter-in-law, Claire, just announced this so I can finally share! In a couple weeks… after three boys... Claire will be having a girl!!!!!”

The Donny & Marie star concluded the caption with the hashtags “#proudgrandma” and #ItsAGirl. Fans in the comments section congratulated the television personality while gushing over the beauty of the images shared.

Osmond explained that her family had been the light amid dark times.

The newest addition would make Osmond a doting grandmother of 8. “The Talk” alum first became a grandmother in December 2013 when her son Stephen welcomed his eldest son named after him.

Back in June, the 61-year-old recounted how she found out she was going to have a grandchild. She revealed that it was during Stephen’s 30th birthday when she and her husband Stephen Craig flew to celebrate him.

She noted that her son blew out the candles during the party and turned to tell her she was going to be a grandmother. In the following years, Osmond has had her home filled with more and more grandkids.

Aside from the three grandsons she welcomed through her son Stephen, Osmond has four other grandkids from her two daughters, Rachel and Brianna. Rachel is the mother to a five-year-old daughter, Rocket Jade, and a one-year-old son, Wolf.

On the other hand, Brianna is a mother to one-year-old daughter Maude and seven-month-old Mabel, who arrived in August 2020. In a previous interview, the “Paper Roses” crooner gushed about the joys of being a grandmother.

She noted that of all the accolades she has received in her life, nothing compares to the blessings she has derived from being a mother and grandmother. Osmond explained that her family had been the light amid dark times.

The matriarch never fails to show off her bundles of joy on social media from time to time. In 2019, she uploaded a rare black-and-white photo of her grandson Wolf. Osmond looked lovingly into the toddler’s eyes in the picture.
