MEETING JESSE PLEMONS
Before landing the role of Peggy Blumquist in "Fargo", Dunst dated several men, including actors Jake Gyllenhaal, and Garrett Hedlund to whom she was engaged for four years.
After her breakup from Hedlund, love came knocking in the shape of "Fargo" co-star Jesse Plemons, and within a year the couple was engaged. It wouldn't be long before Dunst became an expecting mother.
The actress "announced" her pandemic baby was on the way by appearing on the cover of W Magazine sporting a baby bump.
WELCOMING HER FIRST CHILD
Dunst proudly flaunted her growing baby bump in a 2018 Rodarte fashion shoot, a happy moment she had been hoping for all her life. Dunst spoke about her longing to have a child. She said:
“I’m at a stage in my life where I’m like, ‘I’ve been working since I was 3. It’s time to have babies and chill.’”
Dunst, who was 35 at the time, had been planning on harvesting and freezing her eggs before she met Plemons was stunned at how easily she conceived her first baby.
In May 2018 Dunst and Plemons happily welcomed their son, Ennis Howard Plemons, and the actress' journey as a mother began in earnest. When she returned to work six weeks later, Dunst made a startling revelation.
TIRED NEW MOM
The hardworking actress, who'd been on a grueling work schedule all her life, revealed that being a full-time mom to a newborn was the most exhausting role she had ever tacked.
The actress was back at work six weeks later and confessed that working on the set of the Netflix dark comedy "On Becoming a God in Central Florida" which she also produced was restful in comparison.
COUNTRY MOM
Dunst went back to work, knowing little Ennis was being looked after by mom-in-law Lisa Plemons. Both her family and Plemon's rallied around the new parents and offered their support.
Plemons and Dunst were in New Zealand in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, and have been quarantined Down Under ever since, living in a country house with their baby boy.
EXPECTING AGAIN
Dunst and Plemons are in New Zealand to film "The Power of the Dog" together, "The Piano" director Jane Campion's new movie, and that is where their second child was conceived.
The actress "announced" her pandemic baby was on the way by appearing on the cover of W Magazine sporting a baby bump. The second Plemons baby is on the way, but no due date was announced.
In the meantime, Dunst and Plemons have kept busy potty training Ennis and polishing their parenting skills. Soon they will be parents to not one but two tots under three, not an easy task as weary parents well know,
Fans are eagerly awaiting the gender and due date announcement and hoping they'll get a glimpse of the new baby since Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have kept their son Ennis out of sight.
