RHOC Star Kara Keough Is Pregnant Again Nearly 1 Year after Newborn Son McCoy's Tragic Death
Kara Keough announced her pregnancy with several Easter photos honoring her late son, McCoy: "Thank you for sending us this sacred gift. You're a big brother!"
Kara Keough saw the darkest of days around the same time last year after losing her newborn baby, McCoy, and her father only a month apart. However, this Easter is looking much better for the reality star as she announced her pregnancy.
The 32-year-old recently took to Instagram the good news as she posted photos of colorful Easter egg baskets with her children's names, Decker and McCoy, written on two of them. The third basket had a white onesie displayed with a red rainbow.

Keough and her husband, Kyle Bosworth, especially paid tribute to their late son by naming their garden of life after him. Alongside the pictures was a beautifully penned caption about rebirth during Easter. It read:
"This Easter is decidedly better. Despite the wretched Easter night, I can't ignore that this day also represents rebirth. Renewed hope."
Before making the big announcement, Keough enlightened her fans with the origin of the word Easter, coming from the goddess of fertility, Eostre. The representation of the event dawned upon her family as they, too, experienced new life in the form of pregnancy.
Her post talked about grieving for the loss of a child and having a wave of different emotions every day.
"Thank you for sending us this sacred gift. You're a big brother! Tell Grandpa that I said he was right. He'll know what I mean," the caption read. Keough and her husband welcomed McCoy on April 6, 2021.
According to the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star, McCoy experienced a compressed umbilical cord and shoulder dystocia as he was born. A few days after, he peacefully joined his creator.
Eight months following his death, the expecting mother penned an emotional Instagram post to her son, sharing a photo of McCoy with his loving parents during his final moments in their arms.
Her post talked about grieving for the loss of a child and having a wave of different emotions every day. Nevertheless, the heartache remains triggered by many factors, such as seeing a little boy who is McCoy's age.
Keough, her husband, and their daughter Decker are still mourning the loss of a son and brother but are also excited to meet a new family member. Certainly, new life will also bring new happiness.
