Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth's Relationship Timeline — Did She Waste Time with Her Ex-fiancé?
Tinsley Mortimer believes she wasted her time with her ex-fiancé, Scott Kluth! The duo was together on and off for four years before their final split in March. Here's a look into their relationship timeline.
"Real Housewives of New York City" star Tinsley Mortimer was in a relationship with Chicago-based CouponCabin CEO Scott Kluth for four years.
While fans of the reality show saw the couple lovingly dote on each other, they also saw how much they struggled to keep the relationship afloat.

It was, however, not meant to be as Mortimer and Kluth recently ended their relationship, fourteen months after getting engaged. So, how did their romance start? Read on to find out!
TUMULTUOUS LOVE STORY
In 2017, former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Carole Radziwill set Mortimer and Kluth up for a blind date, and the duo hit it off immediately.
They started dating shortly after and soon became inseparable, and it became apparent that they were both very in love with each other.
While talking about her beau in one interview, Mortimer described Kluth as an amazing guy, adding that she was lucky to have met him.
It did not take long before Mortimer was convinced Kluth was the one for her, but it appears the universe did not quite agree with that.
Over the years, the couple struggled in their relationship, breaking and making up multiple times. This was mainly due to the distance between them, with Mortimer living in New York and Kluth calling Chicago home.
Mortimer and Kluth's first official split came only eight months after their introduction, but the couple remained close friends. It, therefore, came as no surprise when they eventually got back together, only to break things off again in June 2018.
The sources claimed Kluth encouraged Mortimer to get settled in Chicago only to end things and leave her blindsided.
Mortimer confirmed this but quickly hinted that they would soon get back together after saying that she and Kluth had broken up a lot of times.
In October 2019, speculations started swirling that the couple had gotten back together, but it was not until November that Mortimer confirmed the rumors.
A source revealed that the couple rekindled their romance during a weekend getaway in Toronto. This time, they took things to another level.
A SURPRISE PROPOSAL
Shortly after Mortimer confirmed that she and her beau were back together, Kluth gave her and many others the surprise of a lifetime.
He
on a Sunday, with Christmas carolers singing on the steps of the Chicago Water Tower. It was indeed a very beautiful moment for the lovebirds.
Kluth went down on one knee and proposed to Mortimer, who covered her face in surprise. The reality star would later say yes before they shared a sweet kiss.
Soon after their engagement, it was presumed that Mortimer would permanently move to Chicago to be closer to her fiancé. It did not take too long for this to happen.
During an episode of season 12 of "Real Housewives of New York City," Mortimer announced she was leaving the show and would move to Chicago to be with her man.
Not only did this shock many of the show's fans, but it also did not sit well with her other cast members, who thought it was a big move considering the nature of Mortimer's on-and-off relationship.
Mortimer, however, noted that she was happy and excited about her future with Kluth and would spend the rest of her life in regrets if she did not move to Chicago.
The reality star also took to social media, officially announcing to her fans that she was saying goodbye to the show and New York.
She called her time on "Real Housewives of New York City" a fun experience, adding that she would never have met her prince charming if not for the show. And with that, Mortimer exited the series!
BABY PLANS IN MOTION
In 2018, Mortimer revealed that she had her eggs frozen after being advised by her mom. At the time, the reality star noted that it was worth it since she hoped to have children one day.
Two years later, Mortimer reiterated that she would like to have kids with Kluth but also said they planned to do the wedding first.
However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic thwarted the couple's wedding plans. So instead of tying the knot last summer, Mortimer and Kluth postponed their big day to 2021.
THE FINAL SPLIT
Mortimer's dream wedding to her beau never happened. In March, Kluth released a statement announcing that the couple had ended their engagement.
He explained that they lived separately for months and called the split an incredibly difficult decision that he believes to be best for them.
Shortly after releasing the statement, sources close to Mortimer revealed it was not a mutual breakup and accused Kluth of blindsiding the reality star.
Kluth's camp, however, fired back, saying Mortimer knew her ex-fiancé had been trying to break up for months but would not accept that their relationship was over.
Insiders, however, believed this claim to be false, saying that if Kluth had really been trying to break up, why did he publish a valentine's day post written by Mortimer where she endlessly gushed about him?
The sources claimed Kluth encouraged Mortimer to get settled in Chicago only to end things and leave her blindsided. According to a source, the split completely caught Mortimer off guard, and the reality star feels she wasted four years of her life with Kluth.
Was it all a waste? Will they work things out once again? Only time will tell. But for now, Mortimer and Kluth continue to mourn the loss of their tumultuous but epic love story.
