A Texas family is currently mourning the sudden death of their four-year-old daughter, who was mauled to death by the pet dog. The tragic incident occurred late last month.

On Friday, April 30, 2021, little Elayah Brown, 4, was at home in the Fort Worth area in the state of Texas at around 5 p.m. when a tragic incident occurred that changed her family’s life forever.

According to the police, the young girl was attacked by what was described as the “family dog." According to a report by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Brown was injured badly at the scene of the incident.

The little girl was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center, where she sadly died from her injuries. Immediately after the incident, the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control took custody of the dog.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, on Saturday, the dog, a mixed breed, was euthanized. The police revealed that no charges were expected to be filed concerning the attack.

WBNS-TV reported on the statement given by the Fort Worth Police Chief Neil Noakes. He noted how tragic it was whenever there was a loss of life and sympathized with the family stating:

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all first responders that responded to this call."

Brown’s uncle, Reginald Arberry, created a GoFundMe account to fundraise money to pay for funeral costs. Arberry shared how his niece had positively affected the lives of those around her, adding:

“She was a bright, beautiful and inspiring person.”

The little girl’s family was looking to raise $8,500, but by the beginning of the week, they had accumulated more than half with $17,224. In his statement, Arberry said more than one dog killed his niece.

Police said she was suffering from serious injuries when she was found…

In a similar incident at the beginning of April 2021, a woman in her 80s was mauled to death by two dogs. The canines didn’t belong to her and found her in her garden after escaping their homes.

On April 2, 2021, she was discovered at an address in Rowley Regis near Dudley in the West Midlands. Police said she was suffering from serious injuries when she was found but died at the scene on Boundary Avenue.

Similarly, in March 2020, a child was left dead, and his mother was seriously injured in New Jersey when a dog attacked them. The incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. at a home on East Laurel Street in Carteret.
