Prince William's daughter Princess Charlotte recently clocked six, and her dad revealed details of her birthday celebration. The Duke of Cambridge was visiting Babcock Vehicle Engineering firm in Walsall, West Midlands, when he made the revelations.

He disclosed that the royals spent the bank holiday weekend and his daughter's birthday on Sunday at their country home in Norfolk.

William spoke to Jenna Johnson, Babcock Vehicle Engineering's lead HR business partner and a mom of two when she asked him if Princess Charlotte enjoyed her birthday.

In his response, William said his daughter had a lovely day and thanked Johnson for her concern. He further added that Charlotte celebrated her birthday last year in lockdown, but they had another family over to share in the happiness.

William noted that Charlotte is growing up so fast, and her birthday celebration was fun. Though it was celebrated privately, the family stuck to tradition by sharing a new birthday portrait of the celebrant with the public.

The picture, which Kate snapped, showed Charlotte in a floral dress made by Rachel Riley, one of the duchess's go-to childrenswear designers. Charlotte smiled as she posed outdoors for the picture.

The portrait showed how much the little one resembles her father as pictures of William at six show father and daughter share similarities, including the gleam in their eyes and their cheeky grins.

The Cambridges did not share the portrait on social media because William participated in a social media blackout initiated to stand against racism and online abuse.

As the Football Association president, William explained that he had to join the entire football community in the social media boycott last weekend.

On Tuesday, Prince William visited English Premier League club Aston Villa at their center. He has supported the club since he was young and was spotted speaking and laughing with the players during training.

A visibly delighted William also heard about Aston Villa's community outreach program and how much they did during the COVID-19 pandemic.
