Hoda Kotb is eagerly anticipating her wedding to fiancé Joel Schiffman and wants her kids to be there to watch the beautiful moment it happens.

With the sweet couple's wedding plans taking shape, an insider has revealed Kotb's two daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, will be involved in a special way.

The source told Closer Weekly that the wedding is all about family for Kotb, and she is not planning an over-the-top extravaganza. The "Today" show co-host already feels married, so the wedding party will be a celebration of her and Schiffman's love.

The couple's wedding date has been subject to multiple postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the source revealed they have finally settled on a date, saying:

"She wants to marry Joel this summer in New York with only close family and friends. Of course, her two adorable girls, Hope and Haley, will be involved."

Due to Kotb's desire to limit her guest list to her closest loved ones, her wedding ceremony would not be huge. However, she wants her "Today" show co-hosts, Jenna Bush Hager, Kathie Lee Gifford, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin, to be there.

The source further revealed that Kotb and Schiffman have been counting down to the day they would say their "I Dos" and cannot believe that day has finally come.

The television personality revealed that her sister, Hala, would be her maid of honor.

Kotb and Schiffman already know the song they will dance to on their wedding day. She shared the romantic song with her "Today" co-host, Bush Hager, during an episode of the show in February.

Kotb said she loves Van Morrison's "Someone Like You" because it is such a beautiful song, adding that she thinks it will be her and Schiffman's wedding song.

During the episode, Kotb made it known that she was planning to get married later this year and suggested November as the month in mind.

However, the insider's revelation that Hoda Kotb wants to marry in the summer show those plans have been pushed forward, and her fans will be waiting to see how things develop.

While Kotb and Schiffman's wedding date remains uncertain, it is clear who the maid of honor will be. During an April episode of "Today with Hoda & Jenna," the television personality revealed that her sister, Hala, would be her maid of honor.
