6th Grade Girl Opened Fire in an Idaho Middle School and Injured 3 – Teacher Disarmed the Teen
A custodian from an Idaho middle school sustained gunshot wounds after a 6th-grade female opened fire on the school premises on Thursday morning, May 6.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for Jim Wilson, a staff member at Rigby Middle School, following his injury during a shooting. The fundraiser Jada Kinghorn said the school adores Wilson.
"Recently, Jim was involved in a school shooting where he was shot. Over the years, Jim has given us hours of work to make our schools better,” she wrote.

Kinghorn said they would love to raise money to aid Wilson's medical expenses to show how much they care and appreciate him while adding anything that would help.
She shared a photo of Wilson grinning while students appeared behind him in a classroom. Wilson, together with two other students were injured. However, according to a medical trauma director, their injuries were not life-threatening and should recover.
During a joint press conference, a Jefferson County Sheriff, Steve Anderson, said, "We don't have a lot of details at this time of why. That is being investigated; we're following all leads.”
According to the Daily Mail, the active shooting started at 9 am causing teachers and students to flee. The shooter pulled a handgun from her backpack and fired multiple shots inside and outside the school, she was disarmed by a teacher.
Another shooting incident occurred last month whereby a student opened fire at a Tennessee high school and was killed by the authorities in the process. The officers were responding to a report of a possible gunman on the premises.
In March, a 16-year-old gunned down another teenager in Johnston County. At the time, the officials said the shooting took place at home in Breland Drive, and the shooter was taken into custody and charged with murder.
