Today’s #storyoftheday is about Ben, a six-year-old who met his first love in his nanny. Years later, they reunited and tied the knot.
Ben was only six years old when he met the love of his life. He was young but had a sharp memory and an advanced mind for a kid his age. Anna was his hired nanny and 16 when she first started the job.
Initially, Anna became Ben’s nanny by force. Her mom, a friend of Ben’s mom, made Anna become a part-time nanny as punishment. She was somewhat a rebellious daughter who was caught sneaking out of the house.
When his mother first told him about having a nanny, Ben disagreed and claimed he was old enough to take care of himself. However, when Anna stepped into his home, his made changed.
At such a young age, Ben was already blown away by such beauty. The teen had long and wavy golden brown hair with green eyes that sparkled every time she laughed. “You look like a Goddess,” the lad said.
Despite it being a punishment, Anna enjoyed her time as a nanny. She would microwave packed meals for their dinner or order food with Ben’s mom’s permission. Although Anna knew Ben had a little crush on her, she was never awkward during their days together.
Usually, they would binge on movies or play video games for hours on end. Summer quickly passed, and Anna’s nanny duties ended as she started school. They saw each other again the following summer when Anna’s mom invited Ben’s family over for a birthday party.
The following year, Anna moved to a different state to study at a prestigious university. Despite cutting contact, Ben never forgot about his nanny and sometimes wondered how she was doing.
Years passed, and Ben also moved to a different state to attend college. During his sophomore year, he went to a nearby cafe to study when he noticed that a beautiful lady entered the establishment.
“It’s Anna!” he thought to himself. Of course, Ben’s appearance had already changed from being a young boy to a grown man. Meanwhile, Anna ultimately looked the same, only with a more mature aura.
Their love story grew further from that day on and three years later, they decided to tie the knot.

Ben knew that meeting her coincidentally would probably not happen again, so he decided to approach her and say hello. As he expected, Anna did not recognize him at first glance but later remembered who Ben was. She said:
“Wow! I can’t believe you were the little boy I would watch over. You’ve grown so much!”
Ben was thrilled to see his nanny and first love, although his feelings had subsided by then. The pair had coffee and caught up for three hours. Ben had endless stories of his growing years, which Anna gladly listened to.
Meanwhile, she too, had her own set of exciting stories about university and work. Ben found out that Anna was already engaged to a man, a college exchange student she met, who lived in England.
Anna and Ben decided to stay in touch since they lived only a few minutes away. There were days when the two would bump into each other at the cafe, but ultimately they were not in constant contact.
After a year, Ben and Anna ran into each other at a park and decided to catch up again. Anna had just broken up with her fiance and was happily single at that time. She told Ben:
“Long distance is really difficult and although we loved each other, neither of us wanted to relocate.”
At that point, Ben took his shot and asked Anna if she wanted to have dinner in his new apartment. “I know how to cook on my own now, so it’s about time I cook for you like you did for me,” he said.
Anna laughed but agreed to dinner that evening. Ben cooked pasta and steak during their unofficial date and prepared his gaming console just like old times. However, the evening turned out to be more romantic than expected.
Their love story grew further from that day on and three years later, they decided to tie the knot. The couple faced scrutiny amongst their family members for the ten-year age gap, but the number remained insignificant in their relationship.
