BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
Although she's still very young, Simmons' life has not been a walk in the park. While she often puts on a brave face, behind closed doors, she has faced heartbreak, tragedy, and even domestic violence.
Instead of feeling defeated by her personal experiences, particularly a past abusive relationship, Simmons told ET that she wanted to support and encourage other domestic violence victims to get out of the situations in the same way she did.
DEALING WITH TRAGEDY
Simmons has also been candid about how the untimely death of her ex, Sutton Tennyson, in November 2018, has been an ongoing challenge in her life as a mom to their son, Sutton Tennyson Jr., four.
In an interview with Hollywood Life, Simmons revealed that her Aspire TV Show, "Just Angela," would provide a glimpse into what her life has been like through all the ups and downs of her love life.
