Mom of Tyler Perry's Son Gelila Bekele Flaunts Her Beauty as She Introduces Her Book in a Video

Mother of one, Gelila Bekele, recently revealed her book, "Guzo," while showing off her beauty and intellect in a video she shared on her Instagram page.

Model and activist Gelila Bekele took to Instagram to promote her new book with an interesting video clip. The video began with an intro of her saying,

"If you can't find something, create it yourself."

The book titled "Guzo" means "journey" and details her journey in Africa. The clip she shared showed her in Ethiopia with some of the country's inhabitants. She captioned the clip,

"Thank you for highlighting all that's dear to me @charitywater + @guzobook and films( MAi and @anbessathefilm) which have been homage to mama Africa...."

In the 51-second clip, Bekele hung out with children and women in villages. She wore African attire, a move made to promote the African culture.

Bekele, who is also a filmmaker, revealed in the video that when she is making a film, it is all about telling a story. However, the author added that she also aims to shine a light on a cause and subject that is not "easily visible to the rest."

The two are focused on their child while keeping the reason for their breakup to themselves.

The activist began modeling professionally after she was discovered at the University of California, Berkeley. The humanitarian said she was a little hesitant because her parents were educationalists.

In 2006, she revealed she started working for Ford Models New York and Ford Models Paris. She has gone on to model for big companies and individuals like Levi's, Diesel, Tory Burch, and many more.

Bekele, who used to be a long-time partner of Tyler Perry, shares a son, Aman, with him. In 2020, Perry opened up on how difficult it has been since he broke up with Bekele. He said in December that he is single and wondering what the next chapter of his life will be like.

The "Madea" creator added he was going through a mid-life crisis at 51. He has not spoken about his breakup with Bekele and only referenced the fact that they are co-parenting.

Perry and the filmmaker are very private people and strive to keep their son's life that way. The two are focused on their child while keeping the reason for their breakup to themselves.

Bekele started dating Perry in 2009, two years after meeting him at a Prince concert in 2007. They welcomed their son seven years later in 2014.
