After having four children with her husband of ten years, John Jovanovich, Daphne, had had an incredible journey dealing with her body image, positivity, and weight. Here is some insight into her journey and personal life.

Dr. Mehmet Oz's daughter, Daphne Oz, is an actress, nutrition author, and TV show host. She is a proud mother of four children and the proud wife of her husband, John Jovanovich.

OZ'S STRUGGLE WITH WEIGHT GAIN

Being Dr. Oz's daughter, Daphne has become accustomed to being under constant media scrutiny. After Daphne already had two children with Jovanovich in 2017, she came out with a message of body positivity for her fans.

The TV host took to Instagram with an inspiring post in which she openly spoke about her postpartum body and how she was addressing her weight gain, among other changes in her body. Captioning her inspiring and positive photo, Daphne wrote:

"bye, Miami! 🌴✌️🌊☀️🙌❤"

The beautiful photo featured the designer looking absolutely phenomenal in a swimsuit while visibly enjoying her Miami beach vacation. She was clad in a lacy-cropped LoveShackFancy top over a tiny black PilyQ Swimsuit bottom.

By changing her diet and making healthy lifestyle changes, she was able to become the person she wanted to be.

The post gathered many kind words of support and encouragement from Daphne's fans, but amidst the shared positivity were some unkind comments. Some trolls started vehemently fat-shaming her and calling her harsh names.

Seemingly unfazed by the wave of negativity and scrutiny of her weight topic, the subject of the scrutiny herself responded to the trolls with an even more empowering post. She wrote on Instagram:

"I feel safe posting pics like this for all of you because I get how hard it is to feel good in our skin -- whether we're trying to lose or gain weight..."

Daphne thanked her fans for encouraging her and coming to her defense. She then added that she stayed above the negativity by ignoring the trolls and focusing on the positive people around her.

HER WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY

In August 2019, Daphne Oz's baby girl, Giovanna, was born as her fourth child. Late in May 2020, the nutrition author surprised her fans when she shared an unbelievable health victory — she had lost over 40 pounds. In a health update Instagram post, she posed in a flattering casual outfit and wrote:

"I still have a way to go, but my aim to feel strong in my skin, energetic for my kids, and to love the way my clothes fit have been my guide."

This incredible healthy achievement came only a few months after Daphne revealed she had joined WW (also known as Weight Watchers) as an ambassador and was working with a WW coach.

This was followed by weeks of updates about her weight loss journey, including an impressive meal plan for losing weight and keeping fit.

Late in 2020, the show host shared a hilarious but clever trick she used when she struggled with maintaining her healthy lifestyle. She said to Eating Well:

"Before I eat something I know isn't great for me, I'll count to my age. This gives me (now) 34 seconds to really consider whether I want to eat that food."

Years ago, Daphne opened up about her long-standing struggle with her weight since her younger days. The mom of four penned a heartfelt, candid article with Oprah magazine. She wrote that she grew up struggling with being overweight, She added:

"Once I realized that I was the only person who could make it happen, I was prepared to take the necessary steps that would lead to success."

By changing her diet and making healthy lifestyle changes, she was able to become the person she wanted to be. The hard-working woman also credited her success to her commitment and those who supported her all the way.

OZ ON MOTHERHOOD AND FAMILY

Daphne Oz is a woman with many inspiring facets. While she works hard at growing and progressing in her career, the proud wife and mother also work hard to raise her four children and grow her beautiful family. In an interview on motherhood with Motherly, Daphne said:

"Motherhood is not like that. There's no prescribed, perfect way to do anything. I think you have to be comfortable in that feeling of doing the best you can."

The show host is clearly enjoying her journey as a mother, and per her January 2020 interview with People, she is still open to having more kids. She said to the outlet:

"I love our big family! And it feels totally complete, But you never know. The only thing I can say for sure is that I'm not currently pregnant."

In August 2020, Daphne and Jovanovich celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. The doting wife and mother is a lucky woman to have a loving fan base supporting her, and a happy and beautiful family to call her own.
