BECAME POPULAR IN 1999
Sterling shot into the spotlight for her role as Frau Farbissina in the "Austin Powers" film franchise. There she warmed hearts with her impeccable acting.
Subsequently, Sterling also appeared in the 1999 film "Drop Dead Gorgeous," where she portrayed the role of Iris Clark, another fan favorite. Over the years, Sterling has continued to garner success in her career, but above all, there is nothing she loves more than being a mom.

A CANCER SURVIVOR
In 1998, Sterling was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time, she was getting ready to film two movies and had only gone to the hospital for a routine check-up.
Though devastated by the diagnosis, Sterling managed to stay positive after reminding herself how many women before her beat the illness.
The actress spent a better part of 1999 having surgery, going through chemotherapy and radiation. Soon enough, she was cancer-free. Speaking in 2004, Sterling admitted she could get through her cancer by finding ways to laugh about her experience.
Since recovering, Sterling has continued to provide support and inspiration for other people living with breast cancer and survivors like her.
She also remains actively involved in cancer-related charities and even launched a clothing line for cancer survivors in 2010.
