His password would not work after trying several times. A colleague then reminded him that the passwords which have to be reset every month had been reset for the month.

He approached his boss to talk about it. He said, "Hey boss, my password is out of date." The worker noted he needed to get the new one.

The boss smiled and told him that the new password was different. He said: Yes, that's right. The password is different, but if you listen carefully, you should be able to figure out the new one." He continued:

"It has the same amount of letters as your old password, but only four of the letters are the same."

Smiling, he thanked his boss, went to his terminal, and logged into his station successfully. What was the new password, and what was the old password?

Answer: the old password was "out of date," and the new password is "Different." Remember he said: "My password is Out of date." And the boss told him the new one when he said: "The password is different."
