Salma Hayek Shares Rare Photos of Daughter Valentina Showcasing Her Transformation Through the Years
Valentina Paloma Pinault is Salma Hayek’s daughter, and even though the actress rarely shares photos of her child on social media, we found enough to see her transformation through the years.
Born in Mexico in September 1966, Salma Hayek has had a prolific Hollywood career with leading roles in “Frida,” “Americano,” “Beatriz at Dinner,” and “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.”
Just like many other Hollywood stars, her love life has attracted a lot of attention, especially her marriage to billionaire businessman François-Henri Pinault.

HAYEK’S HUSBAND, FRANÇOIS-HENRI PINAULT
While Hayek prefers keeping the details of her personal life away from the spotlight, she has repeatedly defended her relationship with Pinault. Naysayers have even accused her of marrying for money.
Hayek, who married Pinault in 2009, told Dax Shepard on his podcast that her husband made her a better person. She added that they were still very much in love even though they married over a decade ago.
Pinault is currently CEO of the fashion group Kering, home to well-known brands such as Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, and Gucci. Hayek and Pinault share a daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault.
SALMA HAYEK’S DAUGHTER, VALENTINA
Valentina joined the family in September 2007, a few months after Hayek and Pinault publicly confirmed their engagement. Despite her private personality, Hayek has shared some details of her parenting journey.
When Valentina was born, Hayek was already 41 years old. The actress admitted she probably was a better mother because she waited that long. She confessed she frequently got tired, though, and added:
"I got to do a lot of things that were important to me first. Most crucially, I had her with the right person at a time when I could really focus on [motherhood],"
Hayek also admitted to raising her daughter differently from how her mother raised her because Valentina’s life was significantly different from hers.
The “Ugly Betty” actress said that, while she and her daughter had different personalities, they both “panic on stage” but have no problem being in front of the cameras.

Still, Valentina Paloma Pinault rarely appears on her mother’s Instagram account. When she does, she’s very likely to have her face covered. When Hayek wants to commemorate Valentina’s birthdays, she posts old photos.
A TALENTED KID
While Valentina lives a low-key life, some sources have reported that she went to middle school in Paris for some time. Apart from that, she reportedly speaks three languages: Spanish, English, and French.
When she was only nine years old, she already had a slime-selling business. According to Hayek, her daughter was selling her products at school until her parents told her it wasn't right.
Valentina Paloma Pinault and Salma Hayek’s bond is pretty strong, and the fact that they did some humanitarian work in South Africa on behalf of the Mothers2Mothers organization proves it.
Other than that, Hayek’s daughter is like most kids: she likes cutting her mom’s hair, loves Ariana Grande’s music, and faced some struggles during the lockdown.
Hayek once revealed that her now 13-year-old daughter was quite independent and successfully completed her online schoolwork. However, being away from her friends was difficult.
When Valentina turned 13, Hayek commemorated the milestone by posting some photos on Instagram. In the caption, the “Eternals” star said she never wished for someone to exist as much as she did with Valentina.
At the moment, it is too soon to tell if Valentina Paloma Pinault will follow in her mom’s footsteps and become an actress, pursue a career in business like her father, or do something completely different. One thing is clear: she has her family’s support.
