Madonna is one of the few stars from her generation of singers to have amassed the level of fame and wealth she enjoys. Yet, despite her great fortune, the singer was accused of neglect by her brother.
Iconic singer Madonna has enjoyed one of the most illustrious musical careers in Hollywood as an A-list celebrity yet, her brother Anthony lived in poverty, accusing his famous sister of neglect.

ANTHONY LIVED UNDER THE BRIDGE
Madonna’s net worth was said to have climbed into the billion clubs meaning the legendary singer joined the exclusive list of celebrities whose career earned the much-coveted title of a billionaire.
With her wealth, the 62-year-old singer could purchase any luxury home of her fancy in the choicest part of the world, but her one-time estranged brother, Anthony, claimed the singer did not care if he was alive while he lived under the bridge.
Anthony’s poor run of luck saw him estranged from his family as he battled alcohol addiction. Anthony spent many years on the dangerous streets of Michigan with no rescue from his rockstar sister.
While Anthony lamented about his situation, reports revealed that his family were aware of his condition but were worried that they could not do anything to save him since they expected him to die from the cold outside.
Madonna’s brother battled many problems aside from his addiction. At one point, he was arrested and thrown into jail for swearing in front of kids in a church while under the influence of alcohol.
Things got worse for Anthony after losing his job in the family vineyard for inappropriate behavior. The lack of cash flow and his many troubles caused Anthony to take to the streets for shelter.
HIS FAMILY ALLEGEDLY LEFT HIM
Anthony claimed that all he wanted from his family was their love and care but was constantly left heartbroken by their constant silence at his plight. Although his case gained worldwide attention, it did not immediately change his living conditions on the streets of one of America's most cold cities.
In a series of attacks, the now 65-year-old slammed his famous younger sister, who he said never loved or cared about him. He claimed he also did not harbor any love for Madonna.
He also claimed their father would have been glad if he had died of hypothermia while in the street since he would not have to worry about him anymore. He accused his father of hating him and not wanting to lend a helping hand.
When asked why his living conditions were not getting any better, Anthony blamed his family but refused to highlight his addiction as the root cause of his problems. Instead, he claimed love was all he needed and not rehab.
Despite his claims, it was discovered that his family had refused to let him back to work since they feared his drinking problems would eventually lead to his death. His father, Tony Ciccone, promised to take him in if he stopped drinking.
THE RECONCILIATION
After spending seven years on the street, Anthony’s family finally welcomed him and took him off the streets. Details were not given at the time, but it was stated that he was home and recovering.
While Anthony had previously claimed he was abandoned by his younger sister Madonna, it was revealed that the pop queen once paid for Anthony to spend two months drying out in a clinic in Texas and tried severally to help him.
Madonna’s siblings and family share a mixed relationship. Some of her siblings have fallen out with the famous star, while others have maintained a close relationship with her.
