UNION'S NEW LOOK

Taking to Instagram three days ago, the "LA's Finest" star shared some snapshots of herself looking dapper in a new hairstyle. Union flaunted her curly pixie cut while donning a ruched black mini dress. She accessorized her charming look with big hoop earrings and necklaces.

She posed in her apartment and sported stunning makeup, which was a perfect complement for her new look. In the caption, Union noted that the haircut felt foreign to her, but she loved it. The actress also added:

"So, I did a thing🤗 The movies always show women cutting their hair when all is lost, but I wanted to know the feeling of making a change when things are gravy."

Although Union received some complimentary words from fans, she also received some negative reactions from users who did not like her look. One follower made known that she liked Union's hair, but the foundation did not match her neck. Another user wrote,

"who did your makeup? Fire them."

A third respondent wrote, "You are always stunning, and I love everything you do, but that foundation isn't right. I love the dress but not the makeup." A follower stated that Union's new look did not fit her.

UNION AND WADE'S ADVICE

In a recent interview, the basketball player's wife opened up about how she instills confidence in her children regarding their hair texture.

While speaking, the Hollywood star disclosed that she and Wade always urged their kids to be proud, live their best black lives, and let the curls do what they do.

Union also noted that time and again, social media users made comments about her daughters' hair. However, she wanted her daughters— Kaavia and Zaya, to be the decision-makers when it came to their hair.

For Wade and Union, it was all about allowing their kids to be their true selves. The latter had struggled with being accepted into society while growing up.

Once, the "10 Things I Hate About You" star said she used to believe that one needed to have a certain hair texture to be beautiful or dynamic.

But now, she does not feel that way anymore. Union loves her hair and believes she can achieve everything she wants and has dreamt of in her natural hair. So, she and Wade are raising their kids to know that they are worthy because they exist.

The lovebirds have been married since 2014 and share one daughter together. However, Wade also fathers three children— Zaire, Zaya, and Xavier. The basketball legend and his beautiful wife are also raising the former's nephew, Dahveon.
