A TikToker has taken to the video-sharing platform to advocate against animal cruelty and negligence after saving two corgis tied to a tree during a heavy storm.

Two lucky puppies owe their lives to a caring TikToker who discovered them wet, shivering, and hungry under a heavy downpour. The kind fellow shared a video of the encounter alongside a warning to pet owners.

The caption read: "Saved these two scared soaked babies today. #SyncYourMiO #Don’tSpillChallenge #MakeViral #animalabusshouldstop #help #animalactivist."

Kenadee Lynn's video began with a shot of a scared-looking pup tied to a tree under the heavy downpour, without food, water, or shelter. It then cuts to the surrounding streets and windshield of the car, conveying the TikToker, which had rain pouring down on it.

A female's voice sounded in the background as she narrated how they came across the drenched corgis while seated in the car, safe from the storm. She then threw a curse word at the owners, zooming the camera into the adjoining building before proceeding to rescue the stranded animal.

The clip then cuts to a man holding a wet dog and then a woman holding another. Via screen caption, the poster confirmed that it turned out there was another dog chained to the tree in addition to the first one spotted.

It appeared the TikToker's rescue efforts were not well received, as officers reprimanded her for touching the dogs after discovering them. Taking to the comment section, she explained that the cops scolded her for her actions, adding that the owners could sue her.

Thankfully, she had video evidence of the rescue. Lynn also confirmed that the pups were safely taken to a shelter after she called animal control.

With over 2.5 million views, the poster managed to get the word out, stirring a media onslaught mostly directed at the pet owners. One TikToker wrote: "Don't get me wrong. Any dog chained up is bad… but a corgi bro?! Who chains up a corgi?"

Another shared the opinion, adding that some people really didn't deserve animals. However, some commenters sprung to the owner's defense, bringing up possibilities that could have made the corgis end up outside while chastising the poster for not minding her business.

One user noted that the dogs looked well-groomed, which meant the owners took adequate care of them. She implied that given the properly kept nature of the yard, the family was probably out running errands when the storm broke out randomly.

Another suggested that the dogs could have been outside dogs. However, a TikToker was quick to rebuke the comment, saying: "Not y'all defending the owner. This is wrong on so many levels. For one… This puppy isn't an outside dog breed. I would've called animal service."

One aggrieved commenter stressed the need for the owners to get charged for their misdeed, and hopefully, live in a state that does not take animal abuse or neglect for granted.

Lynn put the poster's worries to rest, confirming the owners got fined for it but ended up walking away with their dogs. Although many, like the poster, may consider this penalty too lenient, most people deemed it fit, given the numerous feasible possibilities that could have led to the dog's fate.
