Celebs Who Break Everyday Rules of Hygiene, Including Matthew McConaughey Who Doesn’t Wear Deodorant
Basic body hygiene is something that is expected of everyone, and especially those in the limelight. These stars, however, choose to break the rules of hygiene, and they explain why.
While personal hygiene is a sensitive topic, some A-list celebrities have opened up about the hygiene routines they find necessary and those they don't indulge in.
Whether it is putting on deodorant, taking regular showers, or bathing their kids, we get to see who loves doing what and why they chose the lifestyles that they do.

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY
For many, celebrity or not, a pleasant personal smell is necessary; hence, they find deodorant a key factor in their everyday hygiene routines. But not for McConaughey. He has not used deodorant in 35 years.
The "Serenity" actor says he prefers his own body scent over deodorant, and his co-star in "Tropic Thunder," Yvette Nicole Brown made a point of getting as close to him as she could and reports back saying:
"He did not have an odor. He smells like granola and good living. He has a sweet, sweet scent that is just him and it's not musty or crazy."
JAKE GYLLENHAAL
Gyllenhaal admits he does not shower regularly, a confession that had his fans collecting their jaws off of the floor. His choice bordered on the opinion that our bodies clean themselves and it is not necessary to do all the cleaning yourself.
The new face of Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance says that not showering is vital for skin maintenance, and he does not see why it is necessary to bathe every single day.
MILA KUNIS AND HER HUSBAND ASHTON KUTCHER
Gyllenhaal is not on his own on the anti-bathing debate, and stars Kunis and Kutcher subscribe to the same opinion that there is no need to bathe if you can't see the dirt.
There is, however, a twist as the two, who are parents to Wyatt and Dimitri, say they never washed their toddlers until you could see dirt on them.
Kutcher says he washes his nether regions every day and throws water on his face after he sweats during a workout, but that's it! BBC reports that when Kunis was questioned on how it all began, she says:
"I didn't have hot water growing up as a child so I didn't shower very much anyway. But when I had children, I also didn't wash them every day.
BRAD PITT
Brad Pitt admitted he didn't shower every day either, but his reasons were that he was overwhelmed with raising their six kids with now ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
He says between getting urinated on by the kids and tending to other activities, he had no time for a regular shower and uses baby wipes to clean his pits. He is, however, just like McConaughey, reported to have a very appealing natural body scent.
JULIA ROBERTS
Julia Roberts has admitted that she doesn't shower every day and hates using deodorant and seeing as she is a green enthusiast, she loves to save water.
A close source also reported that she hates washing her hair as it strips off its natural oils. This, the source says, often leaves the pretty lady with a musky smell.
Not all celebrities, however, are reluctant when it comes to showering. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Momoa, and Cardi B take more than one shower a day and are surprised that there are people who go unwashed for days on end.
