"Every fairy tale ends. Kristen Stewart is Diana Spencer. A glimpse at Pablo Larraín's SPENCER."

It showed an image of Stewart crouched down in what is perceived to be a weeping position in an ivory evening ball dress, alluding to a Diana look. Her face turned away from the camera as she rocked Diana’s signature short blonde waves.

Larraín has shared that the storyline will not include Diana’s passing.

FANS REACTION TO THE FIRST LOOK

One person zeroed in on the spectacular dress in the cover art, noting that it was not Diana’s dress. A second person agreed, writing, "The fact she never wore a dress remotely like the one depicted immediately takes me out of the moment."

However, the fan added that the dress could depict one of Diana’s looks where she had rocked an ivory studded ball gown and her favorite royal jewelry, the lover’s knot.

A third fan was smitten by the artwork, calling it “the most exquisite and captivating movie poster I’ve seen.” Another admirer referred to the image as a beautiful photo that alluded to Diana’s life.

WHAT FANS ARE TO EXPECT IN "SPENCER"

The director Pablo Larraín cast Stewart in Diana’s role because, according to him, the “Twilight” star had the combination of being mysterious, fragile, and strong. Thus this character build-up made Stewart perfect for the role.

The movie is cast in a three-day royal setting that channels the 1991 Christmas holiday in Sandringham Palace. Just like the real-life occurrence, it was during the festive season that Diana filed for a divorce.

The drama unfolds through the movie’s progression, where Diana finally gets a divorce in 1996 after 15 years of marriage. Larraín noted that the storyline was of the woman who decided not to be the queen.

Larraín has shared that the storyline will not include Diana’s passing, as the plot is just set in three days concerning her divorce. He added that that small amount of time would provide a broad perspective of Diana’s legacy.
