“Oh, come on! Don’t tell me you’re going to spend money on that scumbag!” Amanda told Gina. They were sitting in a restaurant with some friends when Gina saw a homeless boy outside the restaurant.

“But I feel bad for him. I noticed him counting coins. I don’t believe he has enough money to eat,” Gina replied. “Look at him. He looks so weak and tired!”

“Actually, Gina, I agree with Amanda,” Kevin interrupted. “There are so many homeless people in this country. You can’t go around helping everyone!”

“I agree too!” Dave spoke up. “You can’t trust these homeless people either. They mostly end up as thieves and robbing people!”

“But guys…” Gina began speaking, but then everyone interrupted her.

"We’ll have plenty of time to talk about it later. Let’s eat now. The food’s here!”

Gina couldn’t tolerate the sight of the homeless boy staring needily at everyone in the restaurant. So while her friends were busy eating, she grabbed her wallet and left to buy food for the boy.

“Hi, would you like to join me for lunch? I heard the food is delicious here,” Gina asked the boy gently when she approached him. The boy didn’t say anything. He just stood there silently with his head bowed down.

Finally, she returned to her seat and asked Amanda if she could lend her some money. “I’ll pay you back as soon as possible, Amanda. I need to buy something for that kid.”

“But didn’t you take your wallet with you?” Amanda asked as she handed over her card to Gina.

“Well, yeah, I did. But now I can’t find it,” Gina replied.

“And I can’t find the boy either,” Dave interrupted.

“Wait, what, but he’s right there,” Amanda turned to look where the boy was standing, but he was no longer there. She also went outside to check if he had moved to another place, but the boy was nowhere to be seen.

Soon, Gina's friends began mocking her for offering assistance to the boy, claiming he must have taken the wallet after discovering it.

Later in the evening, there was a knock at Gina’s door. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see the homeless boy standing at her doorstep.

The doctor gave her a pleasant smile. “All thanks to you. Your kindness inspired me to pursue a career in which I could serve people, which is why I became a doctor.”

A few days later, Gina was discharged from the hospital. When she went to the front desk to clear her bills, she learned that the doctor had paid for everything. Gina felt bad that the guy had done so much for her and demanded that he take the money from her, but the doctor refused, claiming she had already repaid him with kindness.
