Madonna Celebrates Son David Banda's 16th Birthday with Lavish Party at New LA Home

David Banda has officially turned 16, and his mother, Madonna, made sure to celebrate the milestone to the fullest. On her Instagram account, she shared stunning images of the event.

On Monday, Madonna, 63, took to her Instagram page to celebrate her son, David Banda's 16th birthday. Banda's birthday was on Friday, September 24, 2021, and it was celebrated at his new Los Angeles home.

In the thread of images, Madonna was seen hugging her son tightly, and fans also got to see the decorations for the party. Some gold balloons spelled out David's name while colorful ones lay on the grass.

A photo of a well-decorated table was also uploaded by the superstar. In the post's caption, she revealed they had the "sweet 16" celebration in their new backyard, adding:

“So much to be grateful for!!”

On the day of David's birthday, his mother honored him by sharing several images of the teenager. She confessed that she couldn't believe he'd grown up into an athletic and artistic young man.

Madonna also described her handsome son as charismatic and articulate. She shared her awe in how he'd become a force of nature from the time she met him at Malawi's Home of Hope Orphanage.

The star also revealed David was diaperless and drinking coke from a baby bottle when she met him. She concluded her post by confessing how proud she was of the teenager.

Besides David, she [Madonna] also adopted three more children.

David was only 13 months old when Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie adopted him. His mother had sadly passed on from childbirth complications, and the little boy was suffering from malaria and pneumonia.

The Los Angeles Hidden Hills estate that Madonna now lives in was bought earlier in the year from The Weeknd. Hello! said it cost the singer $19.3 million, and it boasts nine and a half bathrooms and nine bedrooms.

The home also features ample office space, a gym, a zero-edge swimming pool, a media lounge, and a spa. Besides David, the "Like a Virgin" singer also has five more children.

Madonna shares son Rocco Ritchie, 21, with her producer ex-husband, and with Carlos Leon, she has a daughter and oldest child Lourdes Leon, 24. Lourdes was born in October 1996.

Besides David, she also adopted three more children. In 2007, the singer welcomed Mercy, 15, from Malawi, and in 2017 she adopted twins Estere and Stella, from the same African country.
