Parents' Emotional Tribute to Their Baby after They Were Forced to Turn off Life Support

The parents of a one-year-old baby who recently passed away are paying an emotional tribute to their baby girl. They shared her sad story with the world, enjoining everyone to bid her farewell.

15-month-old Isabella Stark spent days in the emergency room of a hospital, battling for her life after encountering a devastating accident that changed her family’s life forever.

Sadly, the little girl passed away after her parents were forced to make a heart-wrenching decision. In their grief, Joshua Leon Stark and his wife bid their final farewell to their little angel in a touching Facebook tribute.

The post began, “God blessed us with an angel. Her name was Isabella, she has left us now with Jesus. We were blessed to have her for 15 months in our life, where she ruled our lives, and we loved every moment.”

Joshua pointed out that his daughter touched many lives during her short time on earth. Despite how devastating her loss was, the couple sought comfort in the knowledge that their baby was with God, watching over them as an angel.

The heartbroken parents also extended thanks to everyone who contributed to their daughter’s treatment through prayers, cash donations, and words of encouragement these past days.

The Starks’ plight began on September 13, when their baby girl was bouncing around the house in her usual cheerful manner while munching a pack of nuts.

Suddenly, she tripped and burst into tears, inhaling the crushed nuts into her lungs in the process. Isabella’s mom found her in that state and began calling for help.

Her grandparents, who were close by, began clearing her airways immediately but noticed the particles had gone too far down. Hence, they opted to perform CPR to keep the baby alive throughout their nearly-15-minute drive to the hospital. Doctors operated on the little girl, removing the particles from her tiny lungs.

A week after the procedure, she remained unconscious, making it clear that she could not survive without life support. Seeing his baby in such a state, Joshua shaved his hair in a show of support, imitating the clean-cut given to the girl at the hospital.

The family also shared updates on her condition on social media, soliciting support from well-wishers, who responded enthusiastically. Sadly, Isabella showed no signs of improvement.

Finally, the doctors informed the parents that Isabella’s brain was not getting enough oxygen despite being hooked to the artificial life-support machine.

The best gift they could give their baby girl at that point was to pull the plug. The bereaved parents eventually agreed, watching their daughter choke to death instantly the moment the machine was disconnected.
