Kelly Clarkson and her now estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock, amassed a lot of wealth, including properties, when they were together. Some of the properties were in Clarkson's name.

It's now general knowledge that Kelly Clarkson, 39, and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, 44, are currently going through a divorce. They officially went their separate ways in June 2020.

On September 30, 2021, a judge found that their Montana ranch wasn't marital property and shouldn't be shared by them. The judge chose to uphold their longstanding premarital agreement.

After their separation, the artist manager was still living at the $10.4 million Montana ranch. He'd hoped to keep the place after the divorce because he'd planned on becoming a full-time rancher.

However, a court recently awarded Clarkson the farm. An E! News source explained that "The Kelly Clarkson Show" host would get to keep the ranch as she had purchased it.

The court decision also revealed that the ranch and two more Montana properties weren't marital and not owned by both parties. In August 2021, it was said he was "exclusively using" the ranch as his "residence and business."

"The Voice" judge had previously asked to sell the farm because she felt it was a burden to her financially. She didn't want to keep paying for the property since only her estranged husband was using it.

The court determined that the upkeep of the place amounted to $81,000 per month. The judge initially rejected her request, and her husband was ordered to start paying property fees from April 2021.

Clarkson was also told to pay Blackstock almost $200,000 per month in spousal and child support. He, however, was responsible for the total cost of transporting their two children to and from Montana.

The former music manager and Clarkson are parents to Remington, 5, and River, 7, and he had a 25% custodial timeshare. Blackstock lost the ranch after attempting to prove his prenup was invalid.

The battle between Clarkson and Blackstock has had its ups and downs. Last December, the "Break Away" singer accused her ex, his company Starstruck Management, and his father Narvel Blackstock of wrongdoing.

She claimed they'd acted "illegally" as her managers for years, but Blackstock denied the allegations. The country musician has since petitioned the court to declare her single and revert to her original last name.

Clarkson might be going through a hard time, but she does well to keep things together, like hosting her show. Last Friday, she stunned her fans with a romantic rendition of Whitney Houston's "Saving All My Love for You."
