Mom in Tears When Not Even Her Own Mother Attends Her Baby Shower

Planning a celebration only for no one to show up is a scene straight out of the movies, but a young mom actually experienced it when no one attended her baby shower.

There are some stories so heartbreaking that one could not imagine being in such a situation. However, a young mom, Annie, experienced what one would only see in the movies.

Annie, who goes by the TikTok username @agkrogmeier01, shared a viral video that had over 13,000 comments from viewers who reached out.

In her short clip, Annie was seen in tears while holding her newborn baby. It turned out that she had a baby shower which no one attended -- not even her mom. She captioned the post:

“Had a baby shower today just to wait there looking stupid, and end up having nobody show.”

As it usually is, another person planned the baby shower for Annie and invited people who claimed they would attend. Everything was ready on that day while Annie waited for guests to arrive.

Sadly, none of those who sent their RSVP showed up. According to the mom of one, her mother didn’t attend because she forgot about the event.

Having no one attend an event happens to some people. Previously, a mom was heartbroken after her six-year-old son invited guests who didn’t attend his birthday party.

In a separate post, Annie revealed that she grew up in a strict Catholic household and was always thought to be a good girl by her friends. So when she became pregnant at 19, everyone was shocked.

Many TikTok users came together to show support for the young mom and even asked her to share her registry link so they could send gifts to both her and her infant. One person said:

“Girl I’ll send something just put a link up! You and your baby deserve to be celebrated! Babies are gifts from God.”

Meanwhile, another user said that they should plan another baby shower so that everyone in the comments section could attend and physically make Annie smile.

Unfortunately, some users doubted Annie’s story and claimed that she only wanted free gifts from people who pitied her. Annie immediately shut down this conclusion and said:

“I don’t want free stuff bro, that’s why I haven’t posted my registry. If I wanted free [expletive], I woulda started with that [sic].”

Dawn, whose TikTok username is @dawners86, shared a glimpse of the beautiful setup she prepared for the event only to have all 22 guests bail out. Indeed, no mother would want their child to experience such an unfortunate event.
