Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young met one another on July 4, 2019. They celebrated their anniversary the year after and got engaged at the same time.
Now, the couple is happily married and is on their honeymoon. They tied the knot surrounded by family and friends, including El Moussa's children, Taylor, 11, and Brayden, 6, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Haack.

EL MOUSSA'S CLAIM TO FAME
Tarek El Moussa rose to fame on the HGTV series "Flip or Flop," which he used to host with Haack. After getting his real estate license at 21, he made a name for himself in Orange County, California.
Through the years, he sold multi-million dollar homes as easy as pie. However, when the housing bubble burst, he rose to fame for an entirely different reason: renovating old properties.
HIS PERSONAL LIFE
El Moussa and Haack showcased their expertise in real estate and interior design by purchasing, renovating, and flipping homes to sell for profit. He also had his series called "Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa," presenting his journey to help others get in the game.
Unfortunately for the pair, things did not work out. They quietly separated in May 2016 after seven years of marriage. It wasn't until December of the same year that people heard about the separation.
THE REASON FOR THE DIVORCE
It was only years later when the real cause of their divorce came to light. In 2013, El Moussa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. A while later, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Although this was not the reason for their divorce, they struggled to make time for one another, especially with everything going on in their lives. On top of that, whenever they were together, it would often escalate to arguments.
ABOUT HEATHER RAE YOUNG
Young started as a model, working with Playboy and brands like Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo, and Smirnoff. After appearing in Netflix hit series "Selling Sunset," she rose to fame, selling luxury properties alongside the Oppenheim Group.
Apart from the reality show, she also has some movie and TV show credits to her name, including "The Malibu Tapes" and "'Til Death." She made headlines when she and El Moussa announced their relationship.
MEETING ONE ANOTHER
El Moussa was on his yacht when he spotted Young on a neighboring boat. He walked over to introduce himself, but she rejected his dinner invitation.
Later that month, they got drinks together, and their date went well. They spoke to one another for over six hours and continued the conversation even when they got home. Since then, there has been no turning back for them.
MAKING THINGS OFFICIAL
On July 22, 2019, they made their relationship official. They then revealed that they moved in together just four days into the relationship, splitting time between Orange County and West Hollywood homes.
The following month, they announced their relationship to the public, and El Moussa introduced Young to his children and even broke the news to his ex-wife. In September, the "Flip or Flop" star purchased a luxury Ferrari for Young's 32nd birthday.

THEIR WEDDING
In October 2021, they finally tied the knot in a Santa Barbara ceremony surrounded by their family and friends. The reception theme was Old Hollywood, with a color palette of black, white, champagne, and gold.
Young donned a long-sleeved fitted corset dress made with French lace by Galia Lahav for the special occasion. Meanwhile, El Moussa wore a black velvet tuxedo with a skull-and-cross bone-print lining.
WORDS FROM YOUNG
A day after their wedding, Young shared a touching post on Instagram. In the photo, El Moussa planted a kiss on her cheek as she cupped his face as they posed on a glass stage. In the caption, she wrote:
"Yesterday feels like a dream… so perfect, filled with so much love and magic. Truly everything I’ve ever wanted and more."
THEIR HONEYMOON
After their wedding, the couple spent a few days in California before flying off to the Maldives and Dubai. The happy couple has been sharing updates with their fans on Instagram, showing off their adventures.
El Moussa shared photos of him and Young cruising on a boat while reflecting on their relationship in the post's caption. "4 years ago, I didn't think a second chance existed for me. Now I'm on the beach in the Maldives honeymooning with the love of my life," he wrote.
A GRATEFUL COUPLE
Likewise, Young shared photos of both of them lounging on their hotel villa's terrace. She shared that she was so happy to be with El Moussa, claiming that "honeymoon glow is a real thing."
Their past relationships might not have worked out for them, but they led them to the happy marriage they now have. In fact, Haack and Young talk "daily" as they co-parent El Moussa's two children.
CO-PARENTING THE KIDS
Their top priority is their two children. "As long as the kids are happy, we're all happy," the "Selling Sunset" star once said. Young is taking it one step at a time when it comes to bonding with her stepchildren, saying:
“I think the most challenging was coming in when they were already 3 and 8 and they’re already little people, they already have the personalities, they already had a routine. I came in after the fact.”
The same way El Moussa found love again, Haack recently announced her engagement to Joshua Hall. Young noted that she and her then-husband-to-be want "nothing but happiness" for Haack and Hall and their kids.
