Little Boy Gets off at the Wrong Bus Stop, Meets a Woman Who Helps Him Get Back Home
An emotional mother was left in tears after a mystery woman helped her six-year-old son get home after making a wrong stop on his way home from school, inside the details of the story.
A mystery Texas woman was tagged a hero after returning six-year-old Colton Franklin to his parents after he got off the bus at the wrong stop on his way from the first day of in-person learning at Postma Elementary School Cypress, Texas.
A report from KHOU 11 revealed that the little boy was meant to be picked up at the bus stop by his older brother, Gavin, and eventually walked home together at 4:30 pm. Sadly, the six-year-old never showed up at the designated bus stop.
In an interview with the outlet, the boys' mother, Arlene Lightfoot-Franklin, relayed that Gavin called her, reporting that Colton did not get off the bus, and she was thrown into a state of confusion and anxiety.
Arlene quickly thought that Gavin might have arrived at the bus stop late, and the bus driver might have taken her tiny son back to the campus.
However, the woman contacted the school and was informed that Colton had boarded the bus and was on his way home. She said:
"And I'm like, well, he's not home. He didn't get off the bus. And we talked to the bus driver, and she said he wasn't on the bus. She told me to go ahead and talk to transportation."
So, Arlene and her husband called the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District's Transportation Department, all to no avail. Next, they got into their car and began driving around, looking for their son.

While at it, the mother received notification of activity from a Ring security camera at their front door. She rushed home, checked the camera, and there she saw Colton in the company of a mystery woman named Kim.
Luckily, Kim was driving with her kids when she saw the six-year-old running frantically. In a Facebook post shared by Kim, the kind woman said she got out of her car and asked Colton what the problem was.

The little boy replied, noting that he was dropped off at the wrong stop and did not know where he was. So, Kim offered to help. She noticed a green sticker on Colton's shirt, stating his address.
Kim entered the address on her phone and could locate the lost boy's house. She and her kids gave Colton a ride, and they were able to arrive at his house with his direction.

Finally, Arlene reunited with her son and remained grateful to the kind woman. The happy mother told KHOU 11 that they could do nothing to repay Kim for her kindness.
She hoped that her neighbors, who saw the Ring video posted, could help her find Kim. Her wish came true, and after social media worked its magic, Arlene and Kim got in contact with each other.
Arlene was also immensely grateful to God as things could have panned out differently for her and her family.
