Bob Saget Did Not Think of Having a Relationship Again After Going 'Through Hell and Back' With First Wife
Bob Saget endeared himself to American families as a father of three in the hit sitcom "Full House." The actor was married twice and had three children before his death.
Over the years, the sudden demise of celebrities has left fans saddened by the unexpected loss of their favorite stars. Less than a year after the world mourned the loss of rapper DMX, the entertainment industry was shocked by the death of another iconic talent, Bob Saget.
Saget was a key icon in the movie industry for over three decades. The late 65-year-old was found unresponsive in an Orlando hotel room. Saget was on a comedy tour and had only finished a performance before his mysterious death.

Known for his sometimes extreme sense of humor, Saget was the host of "America's Funniest Home Videos," alongside other roles he took on in his career, including appearing in Netflix's "Fuller House."
Saget portrayed a widower father who lived with his three daughters, brother-in-law, and closest friend on the ABC hit sitcom "Full House." The comic actor and his co-stars, including John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Mary-Kate, and Ashley Olsen, rose to fame thanks to the show, running from 1987 to 1995.
Unfortunately, on January 9, 2022, the Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed the father-of-three's death. The exact cause of his death was unknown at the moment, but authorities did not suspect any foul play or drug usage.
Saget is survived by his three daughters from an earlier marriage, Aubrey, Lara Melanie, and Jennifer Belle, and his wife, Kelly Rizzo. His family issued a statement about the star and described how bringing hope and laughter to his fans was Saget's priority.
Building a happy family was a big deal for the late actor. Although he lived a busy life, Saget was a dedicated dad to his girls and a committed husband to his wife, Rizzo.
First Marriage
Saget found love when he was only 17-years-old which was also the first time he had sex. The standup comedian was in love with his heartthrob at the time, Sherri Kramer, who worked as a screenwriter and marriage therapist.
The duo later tied the knot in 1982. The couple waited five years before welcoming their first child. The birth of their first child was the turning point in their relationship. The delivery was almost a nightmare, and doctors decided that a C-section was necessary due to tough labor.
Kramer was prepped for the surgery, but she, unfortunately, suffered from complications. The epidural she was given went into her bloodstream instead of her spinal column as intended. This soon became a life-threatening situation.
Kramer passed out, and a code blue was sent. Doctors pumped on her chest desperately to restore her heartbeat, then inserted catheters to remove the IV fluids that had nearly drowned her.
Things worsened when doctors said Saget's wife did not have any brain activity. Fortunately, after six days on the brink of death, Kramer recovered and returned home, but Saget noted that they had been through hell and back, and he doubted they would ever be the same.
The Divorce
The couple had two more children, but things had grown cold and complicated between them. Also, Saget's alcohol problems did not help the couple see eye to eye, so, in 1997, she filed for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. They split after 15 years together.
After the divorce, Kramer kept a quiet lifestyle, staying out of the spotlight. She is 66-years-old and resides in California, where she has a home valued at $3.5 million.
The divorce was a hard experience for Saget. Afterward, he decided not to get married. He once said he never thought he'd be in a relationship again. Saget remarked that he decided to focus on work and raising kids until they were old.
The comic actor then described himself as a cliche when he was 42. He noted that he was willing to do anything other than look at his life and fix his problems. While he was a good father and actor, Saget admitted that his alcohol addiction ruined his life.
Love Again
Saget met blogger Rizzo in 2015 after a mutual friend linked them up. Although she was very much younger than he, the duo easily clicked, and in 2017, the comedian was certain he wanted to walk down the aisle the second time.
Saget popped the question in 2017, and fortunately, he got a sweet yes. They soon began preparations for their new life together. Their romance was spiced up by Rizzo's sweet bond with Saget's daughters.
Rizzo once remarked that Saget kept her on her toes. She confessed that she was charmed by his sense of humor, adding that it was never a dull moment being in his company or that of his friends.
The couple also agreed that they had no plans of starting a family. Rizzo was comfortable being Saget's wife and enjoying the lovely world he had built with his girls.
The lovebirds finally tied the knot in 2018 in a ceremony graced by their loved ones. It was a strictly family affair. The couple confessed that they received overwhelming love and support from their fans.
Last Fun Days
Although Saget and his bride had been married for three years, they had only just spent their first Christmas together, and it was an experience the couple cherished. The duo shared sweet pictures from their sweet holiday on social media.
Rizzo shared a lovely picture of her and her husband on Christmas eve standing beside a Christmas tree.
She wrote on the post, "Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! So happy to spend my very first Christmas with @bobsaget (even though we've been married over 3 years!) because he's finally in Chicago for the holidays! And also special to be at my home away from home."
The blogger shared other videos and clips from their fun holiday together, but sadly, the actor passed on a few weeks later. Saget's family asked for privacy as they grieved their sad loss.
