Lisha Bai Is an Acknowledged Artist - Facts about Peter Scanavino's Wife
Fans recognize Peter Scanavino as ADA Dominick "Sonny" Carisi Jr. in the long-running NBC legal drama series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
While his character in the show is in love with Detective Amanda Rollins, played by Kelli Giddish, the Assistant District Attorney is a happily married man in real life.
Scanavino and his wife Lisha Bai met on "Law & Order" and embarked on a romantic journey, culminating in marriage in July 2011.
In a cute anniversary post on his Twitter, Scanavino shared that they'd been married a decade, adding that meeting Bai was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Meet Lisha Bai
Lisha Bai is a painter and an artist. A graduate of Washington University, Bai attained her MFA in Painting/Printmaking at Yale University.
Bai has made quite a name for herself in the art and design industry. She worked as a visiting Instructor of Fine Arts, as well as Art and Design Education, at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, from 2008 until 2016.
Between 2006 and 2010, she was also a visiting artist at Lehman College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Rubin Museum of Art among others.
On top of teaching art, Bai's art is displayed all over the country. Her exhibitions go way back to when she was still studying for her MFA at Yale.
And while her work is on display in several states, including New York, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Minneapolis, her talent is not limited to the US alone. Her most recent exhibition was at the Dense Mesh in London.
Their Beautiful Family
Despite the couple's busy schedules, they have found time to create a family. They are parents to three children. Not much information about their first and last child is out there, and their names remain a mystery.
However, when the couple welcomed their second child, they let their fans and supporters know through Scanavino's Twitter. The couple welcomed their second child, Leo, in 2016.
The actor announced the exciting news, accompanied by a photo of the sleeping newborn. He welcomed his baby in a simple caption, writing:
"Welcome to the world, Leo."
The cute photo showed little Leo cozily wrapped up in a red and blue striped blanket with a matching beanie. Costars on "Law & Order" congratulated the couple on their new addition.
Fun Family Times
The family loves spending quality time together, evident from the numerous social media photos. In one shot, the couple's kids enjoy an ice hockey game on TV, clad in hockey jerseys.
In one of Bai's Instagram posts, Scanavino holds his sleeping toddler on his lap while the caption reveals that they had been out on a fun day.
