Meet Shawn Ashmore's Family Including His Twin-Brother & Wife Dana Who Gave Birth to His Only Son

"X-Men" actor Shawn Ashmore is also a husband and father, and so is his twin brother, Aaron Ashmore, an actor known for his roles in TV shows such as "Smallville" and "Warehouse 13."

Shawn Ashmore has a successful professional life, including his role as Iceman in the "X-Men" movies. He is also a devoted husband to his wife Dana and a loving father to his son Oliver.

Dana Ashmore has worked in the entertainment industry for quite some time. However, she is not an actress; instead, her career has her behind the camera, beginning as a PA and then working her way to second assistant director.

She is also the founder and CEO of Gratitude Collaborative, a boutique gifting

that offers high-end products to their customs to satisfy any of their gift-giving needs.

The company also acts as a charity as their gift boxes have a built-in donation fee. So each time a customer purchases a package, a donation goes to charitable sources that help people in need.

Her job in the entertainment industry facilitated their relationship as they met on the set of the 2010 film "Frozen." Ashmore portrayed one of the main characters, while Dana worked as an associate director.

Two years later, the "Animorph" star and Dana were engaged. The couple kept their engagement private for a while but then shared the news with fans a month before they tied the knot.

On July 27, 2012, Dana and Ashmore walked down the aisle and said, "I do."At the time, Dana was an executive at Darkwoods productions, and Ashmore was busy shooting four films.

After five years of marriage, Dana and the "Aftermath" star welcomed their son, Oliver. The new parents shared adorable photos of their son on Instagram as an announcement. Ashmore sweetly expressed his love for his family in one of the captions:

Since his birth, Ashmore has continued to share insight into life with his son on Instagram. However, the actor has also shared the more difficult moments of life.

In April 2021, Ashmore shared that his dad, Ricky, had passed away after a long battle with cancer. The grieving son posted a photo of Oliver and his father, writing the family would never forget Ricky.

Ashmore mourned his father's passing with his twin brother, Aaron Ashmore. Both brothers have had a successful career in Hollywood after a talent agent discovered them at ten years old.

Aaron is most known for his role as Jimmy Olsen in the later seasons of "Smallville." A few of his other projects include "Designated Survivor," "Locke & Key," "Killjoys," and "Lost Girl."

Like his brother, Aaron is a husband and father. He married his wife Zoe Kate in 2014, and they have two daughters together, Margot and Esme. Aaron regularly shares updates and photos of his two adorable daughters on Instagram.
