Who Is Ainsley Seiger? Get To Know the Aspiring Star of 'Law and Order: Organized Crime'
Despite Jet Sloomaekers being Ainsley Seiger's first significant role, she has already stolen the hearts of "Law and Order" fans with her performance as the shy hacker.
Ainsley Seiger was surprised but excited when she got a recurring role on a series straight after graduation. Besides being an unusual occurrence, the actress thought her career path would be on Boardway and off-Boardway productions.
Seiger studied at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where she nurtured her passion for acting and singing. Her influence for singing began early as her mother is a voice teacher and opera singer.

The newcomer also had an impressive stage career in high school as her performance as Wednesday in her school's production of "The Addam's Family" saw her win the Triangle Rising Stars
in 2016.
The regional competition brings together Central and Eastern North Carolina high school music-theater students to perform and compete for the opportunity to represent The Triangle in The National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York.
Although she thought her career would be on the stage, that did not stop Seiger from sending her audition tap for "Law and Order: Organized Crime" from her home in Cary after graduating from UNCSA.
A few anxious weeks later, Seiger got the call that she had landed the role and needed to fly to New York to start filming. Seiger was overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity as she told New & Observer:
"I'm incredibly lucky. The gratitude that I feel and the thankfulness that I feel for having what I have right now — it's impossible to put it into words. I'm so, so grateful."
After getting in with her new "Law and Order" family, Seiger shared what it is like working with a few of the franchise's biggest names, including Christopher Meloni, AKA Detective Elliot Stabler, and Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson.
Seiger recalled the first time she was reading a scene with Meloni, and she was trying not to "screw up" her lines because "Elliot Stabler [was] looming over [her] shoulder."
However, she loves working with her costar because she finds him funny and welcoming. Seiger also loves watching Hargitay and Meloni act together as their friendship and connection onscreen translates to real life.
After filming season two of the show, Seiger dished that she enjoyed having more screen time with Danielle Moné Truitt, who plays Sergeant Bell, because the actress respects Truitt in real life and onscreen.
Seiger plays Jet Slootmaekers, a detective on the NYPD, a hacker, and a tech expert. In the first season, Seiger explained she wanted to play the character as a "lone wolf" who was not necessarily a team player.
However, as the show progressed into season two and Slootmarkers joined her colleagues on the field, she grew to respect and admire her teammates while expanding her relationships and professional expertise.
Of course, Seiger is still having fun playing the character and being on set. In January 2022, Seiger jokingly tweeted and asked NBC not to fire her because she kept mistakenly taking her character's socks home with her.
