Who Is Joana Pak? Meet the Wife of 'The Walking Dead's' Steven Yeun, Who Is Also a Mother of 2

Steven Yeun starred as the zombie slayer Glenn Rhee on "The Walking Dead." And while his character was married to Maggie Greene, fans are curious to know who stole the actor's heart in real life. Meet his wife, Joana Pak.

While he rose to fame for starring as Glenn, the actor has received acclaim for other roles, such as being the first Asian American to win the Academy Award for Best Actor.

In addition to his burgeoning career in TV and film, Yeun is a family man. He is the doting husband to Joana Park, with who he shares two beautiful kids.

THEIR ENVIABLE LOVE STORY AND A HILLTOP WEDDING

Yeun is married to Joana Pak. Their love story is a decade-long tale that began in 2009 when Pak was still a student at Columbia College, and Yeun was working with the Second City comedy theatre.

They'd met a year earlier, but only in passing. Pak had been in a relationship at the time. They reconnected a year later when Pak walked into a bar where Yeun worked. He recalls: "After that, I saw her every day for six months."

Soon after, their relationship hit its first significant hurdle when Yeun moved to Los Angeles and landed the role as a survivor of the outbreak on the post-apocalyptic horror show "The Walking Dead." Pak remembers of the time:

"He was based in Atlanta for half the year. I was in Chicago. We were kind of everywhere."

However, their relationship worked despite the long distance. And in August of 2015, they went a step further in their romance when Yeun popped the question.

The pair wanted a wedding that would incorporate their Korean heritage and American upbringing, and when they walked down the aisle on December 3, 2016, it was a dream come true for them both.

They had spent plenty of time sourcing for their perfect wedding spot, and while many looked befitting, it was the elegant yet quirky Old Hollywood–style estate on a Los Angeles hilltop that spoke to their hearts.

Both clad in classic Korean garb, the couple exchanged their vows in front of 220 guests, some of whom were Yeun's "The Walking Dead" castmates.

The ceremony was "very relaxed and focused on a greater message of love," followed by a cocktail reception. They made toasts as a DJ, and the Motown band played for hours on end.

They then shared a celebratory late-night dish of noodles with the guests, after which the evening tailed off in what Pak refers to as a "natural end to a great day."

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT PAK

We all know that Pak is the love of Yeun's life. But when she is not playing wife, Pak is a photographer. She owns a studio, Jo Pakka, and according to Express, she is very successful at what she does.

Besides being successful in their respective crafts, the couple is also doting parents to their two children. Their first, Jude Malcolm, was born on St. Patrick's Day in 2017.

They had their daughter, whose name remains undisclosed, in 2019. Even though most of their personal life remains entirely private, a photo of the casually-clad family on a stroll left fans enthralled.

The photos captured "The Walking Dead" actor teaching his son how to ride a bike. Another was of him carrying his son on his shoulders. In a third snap, Pak held on to her daughter's hand in one of hers while the other held the pet's leashes.
