Grieving Mother Buys Girl a Birthday Cake and Her Family Finds a Note Inside
A grieving mom left an impression on the hearts of another family after paying for their daughter's birthday cake and leaving a touching note inside. Here's what happened.
Kindness is a global language. Every human understands it and reacts to it. Although the world is still recovering from the global disasters of the last two years, some people have remained kind despite suffering losses of their own.
There have been multiple heartbreaking stories recently. However, there are also touching stories of humanity at its best. Here's one such story.

THE CAKE WAS PAID FOR
It was a happy day for Kyle Jauregui's family. His younger sister, Madison, had just turned 11 in 2017, and everyone was braced for a happy day. Kyle was sent to pick up the cake from the local store, but he discovered something touching on getting there.
A kind stranger had already paid for Madison's cake. The stranger left a touching note alongside the cake. The sweet letter left the Jaureguis in tears after reading it. Kyle took to his Twitter page to share the note. It read:
"Dear Birthday Girl Family, in honor of my daughter's 10th birthday I have chosen your birthday cake to pay for. Each year I do this random act of kindness because I am unable to buy my daughter a cake of her own."
The moment left a lasting impression on Kyle, making him believe that there are kind and nice people out there. He said his whole family was left speechless after this kind act and expressed their gratitude and posted:
"We just want to say thank you to McKenna's mom and wish McKenna a Happy Birthday. There's still good in this world."
ASHLEY JODELL'S TERRIBLE LOSS
Speaking to ABC News, the then-23-year-old Kyle said his family felt loved when they read the note. What made it more touching was that it came from Ashley Jodell, who had suffered a terrible loss some years back.
Ashley lost her nine-month-old daughter Mckenna Jodell, in 2008 after the family's television hit her while they were moving out of their home. The incident was heartbreaking and life-changing for the grieving mom.
Following her daughter's death, Ashley's priority has been to honor her memory. She chose to show random acts of kindness to people and put a smile on their faces.
Speaking to a news outlet about her decision, Ashley said she wants people to read Mckenna's name and learn from it. Rather than letting grief rule her heart, she chose to make a difference.
Ashley realizes that little things can mean a lot to people, and she's ready to leave a good mark on people's hearts. Several social media users were stunned by her kindness, and some commented on Kyle's post, calling her a brave mom.
