Mom Calls the Police on 3-Year-Old Daughter to Teach Her a Safety Lesson

A mother was ready to blow as her toddler continued to defy her instructions. As the last straw on the camel's back broke, she brought the full force of the law down on her baby -- literally.

Parenting is one of the most demanding jobs, with many arguing over the most effective way to raise a child or children.

In 2016, mother Michelle Fortin from Arizona took a route that many would deem slightly extreme when her daughter, 3-year-old Camille Fortin, wouldn't listen to her instructions.

BRINGING IN THE BIG GUNS

Wearing a seatbelt is exceptionally important, reducing the probability of being severely injured or even dying -- Many family and friends may never recover from this type of tragedy.

Of course, many 3-year-olds, such as Camille, may struggle to grasp these consequences. So, after doing her best, Michelle chose an alternative disciplinary route that may even make adults shake in their boots.

AN INTIMIDATING EXCHANGE

The mother called Scottsdale law enforcement via their non-emergency number. Dressed in his official attire, one came over to talk to the little girl as she stood in her mom's vehicle. The cop explained:

"Other drivers might not pay attention, and they can run into the back of mom. They could hit the side of the car, and you know what? If we're not buckled, our body is going to hit something."

The red-haired little one stood in front of the police officer, looking unsure about what she was to do. Michelle later stated that the message had sunk in.

TOO MUCH FEAR?

When asked if her daughter was scared, the mom implied that all officers involved spoke to Camille and her older brother, who was also present, in a manner fit for kids. But, she explained:

"My kids got a little nervous because, you know, she knew she did something wrong but to have another authority figure back up what mom was saying was really beneficial for her."

A TERRIFYING ACCUSATION

As we can see, there are many avenues that parents can choose when deciding how to treat their children. One American couple's approach was mindblowing.

The duo adopted a 9-year-old girl in the late 1990s only to return her, claiming that she was dangerous. The two said she stole their items and heard voices.

However, they claimed, the tipping point was when Caralee allegedly threatened to kill her baby brother. She reportedly attempted to throw him off a 30-feet deck while announcing that she would murder him.

They found her an imminent threat; they took her back to Russia, where she was adopted via an orphanage, but placed her in a psychiatric facility.

Now, an adult Sabrina, as she calls herself, has refuted all of these allegations. This woman found her way back to America, where she settled down with her husband and four children.

Trying to teach a child to put their seatbelt on versus facing a young girl who purportedly has threatened murder is not on the same level of intensity -- but both bring forth questions about parenting that are not easy to answer.
