"Dracula" star Claes Bang doesn't regret not having biological children, but he loves being a stepfather to his wife's two daughters, and his Instagram posts prove it.

Born in Denmark in April 1967, Claes Bang has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1990s. He mainly worked in Danish films and theater but occasionally landed roles in German TV shows.

Bang kept himself busy and consistently booked parts for over two decades – every actor's dream. However, he was still hungry and felt something was missing.

He always had the feeling that he could offer more than he was allowed. Bang was like a racehorse waiting for the starting gate to open.

The doors that kept him trapped opened in 2017 when he portrayed womanizing museum curator Christian in "The Square." The film was so successful that it won the Palme d'Or in Cannes and was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.

"The Square" also made Bang an international star at 50 years old. Casting agents and directors from different parts of the world, including the UK and the US, started contacting him.

At some point, Claes Bang and James Bond were linked. His fans kept rooting for him to portray the most famous spy in the world in the upcoming films.

While he is no longer a contender in the race to be the next 007, he portrayed another iconic character, Count Dracula, in the drama-horror BBC/Netflix TV series "Dracula."

The show was an instant hit, and it made Bang even more popular beyond Denmark's borders. In December 2019, the actor made headlines again after being cast in "The Northman" opposite Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, and Willem Dafoe.

With such an incredible mid-career ascent, it would be easy to assume that his newfound fame changed him. However, his wife of over a decade, makeup artist and former model Lis Louis-Jensen, pointed out Bang is still the same man she fell in love with years ago.

She is one of Denmark's most sought-after makeup artists.

Bang's unusual actions confirm his wife's description. He admitted the Oscars were the "ugliest place" he'd seen and even left the Cannes Film Festival after-party early.

Coming back to Claes Bang and his wife, they met in 2006 while working on a summer theater play. Bang was dating someone else, but about a month after that relationship ended, Louis-Jensen invited him to her 41st birthday party.

The actor explained he never left and even joked he was her birthday present. In September 2010, Bang and Louis-Jensen tied the knot, and he officially became the stepfather of her two grown-up children. Now, he is the proud step-grandfather of two young kids.

Bang does not have biological children, and he does not regret it. He explained he never was in a relationship with someone who actively wanted kids, and he never felt that urge, either.

Louis-Jensen might not be as famous as her husband, but she is one of Denmark's most sought-after makeup artists. She works in film, theater, advertising, and fashion, but photography is also an essential part of her life.

She focuses on portraits, and her work even made it to an exhibition in Copenhagen, where she lives with her husband. Claes Bang is so proud of his wife and family that he keeps posting photos of them on social.
