Kim Kardashian is a beauty mogul and fashion icon known worldwide. However, she also had her wrong choices in outfits, which fans have questioned. Here are some of her worst Met Gala looks through the years.
Every year, fashion enthusiasts and celebrities anticipate the much-awaited Met Gala, where A-listers showcase gorgeous costumes fitting the event's theme.
In 2021, many were surprised to see Kim Kardashian's all-black outfit, which received mixed reactions, with many agreeing that it was not her best.

Her outfit quickly went viral and became the subject of millions of memes. Admittedly, Kardashian did not want to wear a costume that would cover her face but was convinced by those she worked with. She said:
“Why would I want to cover my face? But Demna and the team were like, 'This is a costume gala. This is not a Vanity Fair party where everyone looks beautiful. There's a theme, and you have to wear the mask.'”
Despite her covered face, people would instantly know it was the beauty mogul because of her distinct figure. Still, many reacted to the outfit and made light of the situation.
Her outfit, which took eight months to make, included a latex corset dress that hugged her body while beaded crystals hung off it, giving the illusion of dripping water.
“Just me, or did Kim Kardashian wear the 'One Black Sock That Always Gets Lost In The Wash' to the Met Gala?” Jake Carter tweeted. Kardashian also had fans curious about her mystery date dressed in a similar all-black ensemble.
Regardless of what people said, Kardashian's all-black look may not be the worst she has worn to the Met Ball. Here are some of her previous outfits that drew attention.
THE WORST KIM KARDASHIAN MET GALA LOOK
Kardashian recalled one of her Met Gala looks that she, at the time, did not like. In 2013, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star became Kanye's plus one at the event. She was heavily pregnant with her eldest child, North, and was dressed by Kanye's stylist.
Her dress had a black and a floral version, and although she wanted to choose the former, the designer opted for the latter because of the message it brought to pregnant women. Sadly, people ended up mocking the fashion icon, even calling her “Mrs. Doubtfire” in a tweet.

Kardashian ended up in tears on the way home that day, but she appreciated the look more years later. “I just remember the Olsen twins came up to me and loved my outfit and my gloves, so none of the critics mattered because the Olsen twins approved," she said.
KIM KARDASHIAN'S BIG MISTAKE IN PLANNING OUTFIT
Another memorable yet less iconic look came in 2016 when Kardashian bleached her eyebrows and wore a metallic Met Gala dress. She later admitted that she had something else planned for the event's outfit and made a “big mistake” by bleaching her brows.
“I don’t know if anyone knows this, but we had a fully different look; an all-sequin gown to the floor that [I was] going to wear for the Met Gala,” she said. “But instead, we wanted it to be more metal-y.”
KIM KARDASHIAN'S BEST LOOK AT THE MET GALA
Aside from her worst looks, Kardashian also had several iconic fashion moments, including her Thierry Mugler “wet” dress. Her outfit, which took eight months to make, included a latex corset dress that hugged her body while beaded crystals hung off it, giving the illusion of dripping water.
The reality star also endured the night with oil all over her skin to complete the wet look. Fortunately, all the hard work paid off as people loved her look. “Your make up matches not only your skin tone but also the dress so well [sic],” one said. “And your hair looks wet, probably isn't. It's probably magic. Well done.”

The dress was inspired by Sophia Loren's scene in “Boy on a Dolphin,” where she came out of the water dripping wet.
