The Met Gala 2022 was filled with bold and unique fashion choices, but nothing stood out like the three Jared Letos who confused fans, guests, and even TV hosts.

In most red-carpet events (like the Oscars or the Golden Globes), celebrities' goal is to look elegant and classy. However, the Met Gala is different as it is the only show that gives everyone the freedom to explore fashion.

"Morbius" star Jared Leto took things to the next level by arriving with a doppelganger. Even some TV show hosts were confused and referred to someone as Jared Leto even though he was not.

JARED LETO'S MET GALA LOOKS THROUGH THE YEARS

Every time Leto attends the Met Gala, his opulent and over-the-top outfits attract plenty of attention. In 2016, he stole the spotlight in a white shirt, a cream-colored Gucci tailcoat, and matching pants.

He added black shoes, a matching ornate cane from the same brand, and a Cartier brooch and cufflinks as the finishing touch. Leto nailed the event's Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology theme and looked like a royal family member.

Jared Leto upped his game for the Met Gala 2018. Although he collaborated with Gucci again, he chose a more colorful outfit for the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination theme.

The "Dallas Buyers Club" actor wore a gray-blue suit featuring dark blue lapels and jeweled cat pieces. He also put on embroidered stoles and a headpiece. With his shaggy beard and long hair, many believed he channeled Jesus Christ.

Before Leto's appearance in the Met Gala 2022, his 2019 look was the most eccentric. For the Camp: Notes on Fashion theme, he opted for a long red dress from Gucci and metallic purple pants.

While the many jewelry pieces on the dress drew plenty of attention, the replica of Leto's head he carried around was the night's highlight.

FREDRIK ROBERTSSON MISTAKEN AS JARED LETO ON MET GALA 2022

The Met Gala 2022 theme was In America: An Anthology of Fashion, and everybody thought Jared Leto had gotten rid of his traditional Gucci outfits for the first time in years.

He put on an Iris van Herpen jumpsuit with feathery embellishments that took 750 hours to make. Minutes later, the real Jared Leto arrived with a doppelganger, and people realized the first "Leto" was actually fashion addict Fredrik Robertsson.

"The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian put on an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress.

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna commented on one of Robertsson's Instagram posts that everybody thought he was Leto on the red carpet, and she kept screaming at the TV, saying he was not. Robertsson wrote on Instagram:

"I can't believe this is me […]. It feels like a dream and I never want to wake up."

The real Leto and Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele wore matching cream-colored suits with black lapels and leather gloves that made them look like clones.

ANOTHER CELEBRITY CHANNELING A LATE STAR

Fredrik Robertsson was not the only Met Gala attendee who channeled another celebrity. "The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian wore an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress.

Kardashian put on the same $5 million gown the late musician chose to sing "Happy Birthday" to President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

The reality TV star admitted to being honored for channeling Monroe and explained the dress included over 6,000 hand-sewn crystals by Jean Louis.

Receiving the gown alone was challenging as gloves-wearing guards transported it from its temperature-controlled vault. The dress is so crucial to American history that Kardashian only wore it for a few minutes. Talk about eccentricity!
