Ewan McGregor battles Darth Vader in the new "Obi-Wan Kenobi" trailer released on May 4. Fans can't wait to watch the actor embody the character when the "Star Wars" limited series starts streaming on May 27 via Disney+.

The talented actor teased his return to the "Star Wars" franchise when he appeared in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, revealing how much he was enjoying getting to play Obi-Wan again.

He also revealed that he has been trying to avoid speculation about his return to the Jedi universe since "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" premiered in 2005.

According to him, it got a little annoying because he had to lie to people or be vague about the details, but now that the cat is out of the bag, the actor can rest easy.

Ewan officially got signed for the limited series in August 2019. In the trailer, set ten years after what transpired in "Revenge of the Sith," his character is off on a new adventure while looking after a young Luke Skywalker.

Fans of the Star Wars universe have been stirred up by the trailer of the upcoming series, which is understandable because everyone loves Ewan's acting.

However, while they are busy wolfing down the series when it releases later this month, the handsome man who recently welcomed his first child with Mary Elizabeth Winstead will have his hands full being a father.

Ewan McGregor became a father for the fifth time when he and his partner, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, welcomed their first child, Laurie, together secretly in June 2021.

News of the baby's arrival was announced via Instagram on a Sunday by two of the actor's oldest kids, Clara and Esther.

The pair shared many pictures that captured the newborn in their post, and Clara referred to the child as the "greatest gift," and her sister, Esther, lovingly claimed that she met him looking like a "pirate" even though she totally recommends.

The shots they both shared were similar in that they captured the two sisters cradling their little brother with their love for him written on their faces.

Besides Clara and Esther, Ewan is the father to two other children from his previous marriage with Eve Mavrakis: Jamyang, 20, and Anouk, 10.

Ewan became a father for the first time after he welcomed Clara with his former wife, Eve Mavrakis, at the age of 25. The girl was born in February 1996 and has since grown up to follow in her father's footsteps as an entertainer.

She is famous for turning up at the red carpet premiere for "The Birthday Cake" on June 13, 2021, just a few hours after a dog mauled her face.

Clara showed up with bloody gashes across her nose, bridge, and right cheek, but she did not let it stop her from enjoying the event, clearly representing her father's tough Scottish genes.

After Clara, Ewan welcomed his second child and named her Esther. The girl grew up sharing a tight bond with her sister, and they have been known to take on modeling campaigns together.

Ewan's third child was named Jamyang, but unlike her sisters, she was adopted by the actor and his then-wife in 2006. Ewan reportedly met her as an orphan when she was two while he was riding across Mongolia for a TV series.

After Jamyang, Ewan and his ex-wife chose to adopt again, which led them to take in Anouk, born in March 2011. She was the last child they accepted into the household before everything fell apart in 2018.

When Ewan fell in love with Mary in 2017, his second child, Esther, became somewhat estranged from him, and after the split, she implied on Instagram that seeing pictures of her dad with Mary was making her cry.

According to Nicki Swift, Eve and her four kids with Ewan found out he had been cheating with Mary at the same time the public did, and back then, even Clara's relationship with him became strained with her calling Mary "a piece of trash."

The girls were incensed by what had happened, but if their posts on social media meant anything, all is now well.

Ewan and Eve met on the set of "Kavanagh QC" while filming an episode titled "Nothing But The Truth." He had been a guest star in the episode while Eve was an assistant art director.

They got married in 1995, and they were happy for more than two decades, expanding their family four times as they built their legacies.

Things went crazy after pictures of Ewan kissing Mary went viral. However, according to a family source, the actor and Eve had already been separated by then.

Ewan filed for divorce in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences; however, things were not finalized for two years because the couple kept clashing over their kids' custody as the proceedings got nasty.

Ewan petitioned for joint custody of the kids, but Eve, who wanted nothing to do with him, requested sole physical custody with visitation rights for him. It was a rather painful end to a beautiful union, but thankfully those involved have moved on.
