Kendrick Lamar is well known in the rapping scene, but much about his personal life remains a mystery as he keeps it out of the media. The rapper drops great music and then vanishes only to reappear with another gem, but where does he go? And who gets to see him when he's gone?

Kendrick Lamar never misses his musical mark, and his fans have a large amount of love and respect for him, even if they don't know much about his personal life.

On May 8, just a couple of days before he is scheduled to drop his new album, the talented rapper shared his new song, "The Heart Part 5," and its music video.

It excited his fans, who have been waiting for an update since he took a five-year-long hiatus from making music. The song is the most recent update to Lamar's ongoing series titled "The Heart," which began in 2010.

The famous rapper announced the coming of his album "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers" last month in response to a tweet shared earlier by SK that declared that Lamar has officially retired from music. In his response, Kendrick Lamar dropped a link that led to a note which read:

The album will be his first complete body of work since 2017, when he released "DAMN," which bagged him a Pulitzer Prize and five Grammy Awards. He has since joined several other artists on other music projects, but until now, he had none out for himself.

Where was he in all that time, and what was he up to -- his fans may wonder. It turns out that the rapper has been busy building a family.

However, not many are aware because the rap titan knows how to keep a low profile even though he is one of the top-tier celebrities in the world today.

WHO IS WHITNEY ALFORD, KENDRICK LAMAR'S FIANCEE AND MOTHER OF HIS CHILD?

Kendrick Lamar takes his privacy very seriously for a rapper, and as such little is known about Whitney Alford, the lady who holds his heart.

We know that she was raised in the popular Compton neighborhood in Southern L.A., and she attended the same high school as the rapper.

The pair met when they were teenagers, and their relationship started with friendship before morphing into something more. But, they were so hush-hush about everything that the world never saw them together until 2014 at the 56th edition of the Grammy Awards.

He proposed to her in 2015, making the announcement shortly after he released the video for "King Kunta," which Whitney contributed to with her vocals and an appearance in the music video that captured her with the engagement ring.

After High school, Whitney attended California State University, where she finished with a degree in Accounting.

However, years down the line, she decided to follow her dreams tied to the beauty industry. So, now she pursues a career as a Freelance Makeup Artist and Skincare Specialist.

In 2015, Kendrick Lamar referred to Whitney as his "best friend" who he can tell his "fears to" and who will "call him out" on his faults rather than grovel to remain in his good graces.

Like him, she is also a very private person, and even though she has an Instagram page, she has not uploaded any posts since 2018.

The two lovebirds have said nothing about a wedding; however, they took a big step forward when they welcomed their first child in 2019.

ALL WE KNOW ABOUT KENDRICK LAMAR'S DAUGHTER

Kendrick Lamar is a driven person in a chaotic world but ultimately, what he wants is what he gets. In a 2017 interview, the rapper revealed a desire to have a female child he would adore.

Perhaps no one thought much about it, but those privy to the details of that talk he had back then must have smiled fondly after news that the lyricist welcomed a daughter with Whitney went public.

The talented rapper and his gorgeous partner welcomed their daughter on July 26, 2019, but in true Kendrick Lamar fashion, her existence was kept lowkey, the same as the pregnancy.

Nobody knows her name or what she looks like, as they have yet to post a single shot of her on their social media platforms.

ALL WE KNOW ABOUT KENDRICK LAMAR'S "MR. MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS" ALBUM

Kendrick Lamar's upcoming album will reportedly be his last with Top Dawg Entertainment, and he teased the release in August 2021, after which he once more went silent.

Fans were ecstatic after having been starved for years, but another update about the album did not come until April 18, 2022, when he tweeted the link to his Oklahoma website, complete with the letter addressed to his fans.

There is not much besides the title and release date; little else is known. However, there is speculation that he might release it as a double album and that it will address Lamar's journey during his 17 years of making music.

In the future, should the talented rapper release another album, it will be under his own company, pgLang, which he founded with his business partner, Dave Free.
