For several years, Britney Spears had been under the conservatorship of her father, with her life kept in the dark. However, with the Free Britney Movement coming to light, more about the pop star's personal life surfaced in the media.

One of the figures who supported her through tough times was her fiancé, Sam Asghari. Here's more about the man who holds Spears' heart.

WHO IS THE FATHER OF BRITNEY SPEARS' CHILD?

Aside from being her lover, Asghari is also the father of Spears' unborn child. The "Toxic" songstress previously posted a series of photos showcasing her body before pregnancy. She wrote in the post:

“Photo dump of the last time I was in Mexico BEFORE there was a baby inside me.”

WHO IS BRITNEY SPEARS' FIANCE?

Asghari, who met Spears during her "Slumber Party" music video filming in 2016, is a personal trainer and model. He manages Asghari Fitness, a business that offers clients private training programs and meal plans. With a shared passion for fitness, the couple sometimes works out together.

At one point, the Iran-born athlete tried a modeling career and walked his first runway at 21 years old. He later appeared in a Super Bowl advertisement for Toyota and Fifth Harmony's "Work from Home" music video. He said, as reported by Harper's Bazaar:

“I was a very masculine guy – I played football and was in the police academy. At the time, my Sunday best was basketball shorts. My sister said, 'I will take you to this audition. Just come with me.'”

Eventually, he met Spears and wanted to settle down with her. Despite her difficult situation, Asghari stood by the singer and became a source of comfort.

Naturally, when the Free Britney Movement began ahead of her conservatorship hearing, Asghari publicly showed support for his girlfriend. He took to Instagram with a selfie wearing a #FreeBritney shirt to show Spears his unconditional love and support.

On September 12, 2021, Asghari finally proposed to Spears with a four-carat diamond ring with the word "lioness" engraved, his pet name for the superstar.

"The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication, and love expressed to them," Brandon Cohen, Asghari's manager, said.

Following the news of their engagement, fans urged the couple to get a prenup before the big day. He quipped, "Of course, we're getting an iron-clad prenup to protect my Jeep and show collection in case she dumps me one day."
